As we were all brought up to believe in our English classes, or even college Humanities, the Greek gods & goddesses were power-hungry, selfish & given up on the once-worshipping mortals. And surely they didn't involve themselves with things as trivial as the problems of mere mortals, but in this book we see another side of the story.
Plain-Jane'ish Molly McMillan, who lives a quiet & solitary life in the small town of Saint's Grove, has been tormented by nightmares her entire life. She's never known true, peaceful sleep. What she doesn't know is that this is truly a curse set upon her family and handed down due to the actions of the gods centuries before.
And one night, as the planets line up just right, Saint's Grove becomes a hotbed of supernatural activity. Unfortunately, Molly is there to witness it all.
Without giving too much away, the selfless acts of a gentlemanly god basically causes him to follow in his own father's footsteps. Protection isn't the only think he's willing to do for Molly. LOVE plays a big role throughout the book and once again makes us believe that Love can conquer all.
I'm definitely ready to find out more about the residents of Saint's Grove.
Molly has always lived with nightmares. Her life is about to change forever.
A great story about some of the Greek Mythology we grew up reading about. Great world building and strong characters. Cannot wait to read more in this great series
To read about a comet hitting the small town of Saints Grove, was a great start. And to learn we would meet the son of Eros and watch him fall in love was great. But poor Molly and her nightmares
I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline and the characters from myth and reality. The story kept me gripped as I was intrigued on how it would all end. With the two main characters telling the story it was a refreshing change.
