I ordered the grey finish 24” shelves. Packaging was decent, no damage in shipping. The shelves had a nice matte finish with no chips or dents that other reviews noted. One of the shelves had a very slight twist but it was barely noticeable. Being real, solid wood I expected slight imperfections. If you want something perfectly straight I would suggest the fake wood options from ikea or Home Depot. The brackets seemed well made but were a bit thinner than I had expected from the description. The powder coat finish looked fine. The wall anchors were good quality metal self drilling anchors. I usually go buy these for most heavy items so I was surprised to see them included. The included template was accurate and worked fine to mark the wall for drilling. I would suggest always checking the template against the actual holes on the shelf before drilling your walls. Once I measured everything and had my holes marked it was a very simple process for anyone with basic home improvement skills. As for not needing a drill I can say it’s probably possible but a bad idea. It wouldn’t take much to mess up on the angle and not have a hole line up or end up out of level. I included a picture of all of the tools I used. The extra drill was just a convenience, you only need one. Some of the mounting brackets have a very slight angle so I would suggest holding them up to the wall to figure if there is an angle and make sure it’s pointed up when installed. The shelves slide onto the brackets and there is no way to lock them in place. Not a problem for my installation but this may be an issue for some. There is a slight gap between the shelf and the wall caused by the thickness of the brackets (maybe 1/8”). This isn’t too noticeable unless you look at the shelf from the sides right up against the wall. Again, in my situation this wasn’t a problem. They seem pretty sturdy even though I wasn’t lucky enough to have any holes line up with a stud. I wouldn’t put 50lbs on them but they should hold up to most uses.
Overall I think they are decent quality and look nice installed. I would say that the price is a little high for what you’re getting. You could make these yourself for way cheaper but you’d need to spend some time and effort so you’re paying for the convenience. If you don’t mind the cost and can handle basic home improvement I would recommend these shelves.

Okay so I ordered these because they had an overall high rating and a lot of reviews. After I had placed the order I began reading some of the reviews and got a little worried that I had made a mistake. Many of the one star reviews said the finish was poor, some of the shelves were warped and the hardware was no good. Since I had already placed the order all I could do was wait and see what I got.
