As usual April Wilson delivers yet another well written book with diverse characters who are dealing with their own body issues. As a person who is rarely represented in books (being an African woman:) I really appreciated why the author thought it was important to tell the story of a breast cancer survivor and how she finds love with what she perceives as her limitations.
I gave it a four star rating as I thought the ex
husband situation was resolved rather quickly and felt very rushed. As if we really needed to finish the book in a hurry.
I would definitely recommend this book to fans of sweet romances and characters that just need someone to believe in them!

This is the first book I’ve read in this series. Overall I liked it very much. I felt that Jamie and Molly were pulled together by their imperfections. But, while I liked Molly, I sometimes felt she was sending Jamie mixed signals. It may have just been insecurities, though. And I was a little miffed that Molly kept doubting Jamie’s abilities to defend himself. She more or less was saying he was helpless, where there was nothing in his character that made him come off weak. I did love when they finally came together and declared that they cared for one another, or rather Molly finally admitted she had feelings for Jamie. There again it may have been insecurities. My one wish would be that there’d be another book that would tell how Jamie and Molly end up. Do they get married and have kids? Do they live a happy life? I’ve read through the other books previews and it seems that a lot of the characters have their stories wrapped up, so I hope the author will do the same with Jamie and Molly.would love to see how their story plays out!

What a terrific story! I laughed, I cried, I swooned and sighed in contentment. (I also screamed in terror at one specific scene. I was on the treadmill at the gym where people looked at me thinking ... "Damn, I'd like to read that book!") April Wilson has magnificently captured the essence of two imperfect people who manage to find perfection and love in each other. Beautifully written and full of emotional "feels"! I loved it.

As a breast cancer survivor myself, I am always interested to read a romance from that POV. Ms. Wilson did not disappoint in her tale of overcoming the insecurities involved in relationship after the surgery. Giving her hero his own set of insecurities went a long way in helping the heroine overcome hers. A sexy hero and a lovely heroine in a tale that gives the reader reasons to cheer them on, my idea of a GREAT read!

Following the anticipation in the series, we get to know Jamie and Molly. Following their journey and seeing them both deal with their own personal struggles, you feel empowered and loved getting to know them. Will their mutual attraction and love for each other prevail or will their imperfections get in their way? I highly recommend reading to find out. I loved this book and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one ❤❤❤

All of her books are great! All of the characters are interesting and after the first couple of books they really start to feel like family. Don’t limit the fun by just reading one or reading them out of order. There’s a great deal of raw emotion and human insecurity bleeding from each character which makes the books an even greater delight to read. I recommend.

Imperfect
Imperfect is just Perfect. What an amazing emotional story of Jamie & Molly.
Jamie was robbed of his eyes whilst serving as a navy seal for his country. He's been recuperating and protected by his family whilst staying at Shane estate. With the help of Shane's fiancée, Beth, he gets his own apartment and his independence back.
Molly is a survivor of breast cancer loosing both breast but opting for no reconstruction surgery. She is also trying to move on from her ex husband, who she has a restraining order against.
When they meet each other they both feel that instant connection but Molly fights it, she can't get a blind man mixed up with her evil violent ex.
The scenes between them, with Jamie showing Molly his eyes, that's a first, and Molly letting Jamie touch her, another first, are very touching.
This is book 5 in The McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series and I have loved every book but this ones the most emotional but heart warming so far. 💖 Look forward to book 6

No plot spoilers
There are some triggers relating to violence and attempted rape. That should have been mentioned in the blurb.
There are some editorial mistakes that literally screamed at me and really turned me off the book, one of them is totally unforgivable because in the same chapter Jamie texts Molly to say he's outside and a few paragraphs later he asks for her number to programme into his phone. That's just lazy proof reading. How can anyone sign that off? It's not the only instance either.
The characterisation isn't bad, but I was by no means invested in the characters.
There are some sex scenes, but not every other page.

Brilliant book

My mum had a rare form of breast cancer, as the mammogram came back negative, but both the breast doctor and my mum could see a change, so she had to have one of her breasts removed and like you, she chose not to have anything but be natural.
It's now 4 years and counting and she is doing brilliantly, what she found the hardest was where to put her arms when folded that don't pull on the stitches or scar tissue.
Again, a brilliant book, I loved every word, well done. Keep writing.

Heartbreaking and soul searching

I've always liked Jamie but i knew it would take a special person to heal him . I have absolutely loved this story of two people who have faced challenges in their lives and yet come together in a special way. Molly is a courageous and strong lady, to be able to pick herself up and succeed in what she does. I cried so many times reading this story and yet I want to read it all over again. I can't wait to see where this story can go.

I loved this fifth offering on the McIntyre Security series featuring Jamie and Molly who are two physically "defective" people who come together and begin to heal each other through trust and acceptance and eventually find love with each other and realise that their physical imperfections are not something to be ashamed of. I can't wait for the other books in the series!
