It didn't help me much with the SD bits with which I'm very familiar. But there is still quite a bit where I have never done more than superficial work and this book covers it all in useful detail.
If you want to know how to design business process from scratch, turn to other books. If you want to know how to implement your plan, there is no alternative: TINA. Still, I have not given up hope that something better will come along in the next 6 to 12 months, until then: TINA.
The author presents the concepts in a clear crispy way so that one can understand easily with less Business background.
I suggest this book if you want to start learning a topic but not to master it.
I can rate it 5 * for an SD Novice but a single * for whom who knew the concepts.
It is good for implementing SD, but lacks issues relating to specific issues (like warehousing, bar coding interfaces).
Otherwise it is a good reference book for both consultants and end-users alike.

The book actually covers older versions of the software and so most of the screenshots do not match our system. However, the text does provide some quite useful guidance which the Proces Owner was able to use to some good effect. It also helped highlight areas within the software where we could look at improving processes; this did take a while as the people concerned were not too keen on wading through such a large book.
In particular, some of the guidance was quite useful in providing help to make configuration changes; and as such it was probably well worth buying.
