Must-have expansion if you're a fan of the original!

I forgot that I pre-ordered this, so I squealed with glee when the mailwoman surprised me! My 9-year-old daughter, my boyfriend and I play Exploding Kittens way too often. It has never gotten boring on its own, but we could barely contain our excitement when opening this expansion pack. On the box, it only boasts three new actions in addition to an imploding kitten, but inside contains so much more! The new cards completely change the game, in the best way.

You receive:
o Alter the Future, where you can not only peek at, but switch the first three cards.
o Reverse, where you reverse the order of play.
o Draw from the Bottom, where you do exactly what it says. This is useful when you know someone is out to get you.
o Target Attack, which is played like an attack, but you get to pick the player you wish to attack.
o Feral cat, which is like a wild (haha!) card for cat cards! These definitely change the game.
o Imploding kitten, which cannot be diffused! The addition of this card also allows for 6 players instead of the old maximum of 5.

You also receive a human-sized Cone of Shame for the first person to forget which player's turn is next. My daughter is WAY more excited about this than I am. That's probably the point.

You can choose to play with ANY OR ALL of the new expansion cards. Pick and choose your favourites! The only thing I feel must be noted is that several of the new action cards are for playing with 3 or more players. Choosing who to attack or reversing order, for example, wouldn't make a difference in a 2 player game.
The artwork is hilarious, as expected from The Oatmeal. Overall, if you are a fan of Exploding Kittens, this expansion is pretty much a necessity, especially if you often play with a group.

Printing is not consistent with base game

I ordered Exploding Kittens and this expansion to go with it.

The problem is that the cards from the base set and the cards in the expansion are different enough to be noticeable. The Imploding cards are a slight amount larger and have slightly darker background color... this means you can tell where the expansion cards are in the draw pile, and if taking a card randomly from another player, you can tell which cards came from the expansion. It kind of ruins the game.

I could believe it if I bought the expansion to add to my years-old base set, but I just bought both of these at the same time as a gift. When we opened them to play the first time we found the printing issues.

I will try to add some photos later to demonstrate the problem.

Fun cards but not consistant with the base game.

Not a well made expansion. The cards themselves add a lot of fun strategies to the already fun base game Exploding Kittens. My problem is how the cards are made. They are a bit larger and a darker shade of red than the original. This makes it very noticeable which expansion you are about to draw into; since there are no new Exploding Kitten cards in the expansion, it makes your draws safe because you know you will not draw into an Exploding Kitten.

Bought it in hopes of improving the crappy experience with the Exploding Kittens game. Unfortunately, I feel like I threw away good money after bad. The game play is still boring and the humor is as dumb as with the actual game. This game appeals only to children who think that bottoms and back hair are hilarious. I used to hope for an Exploding Kitten and no Diffuse card, now I am hoping for an Imploding Kitten card.

I bought this and it was not a new product. It was used. The packaging looked beat up and open. Not only that, one of the cards had debris on it. Such a shame because the original exploding kittens was great.

Marginal contribution to the game

It's OK. It keeps the game fresh. But it's only 20 cards and it's just ok. Adds an interesting new mechanic but doesn't really improve the fun of the base game by a lot. Not really worth the 12.99 when you consider the base game is $20
