Zoe digs in her toes. She provokes the insufferable Connor, taunting that she’ll leave only when Bess asks. Connor vows to oust her as more reasons to suspect Zoe’s honesty surface. The issue becomes clouded as Connor and Zoe grow closer. Too soon Connor realizes it was not Bess who needed protecting, but himself.

Heartwarming sweet romance

This is the first book I've read by Anne Ashby but it won't be the last. She did a wonderful job fleshing out real characters in Zoe and Connor. Both of them faced things as children that no child should deal with, but they grow and become wonderful adults though but both have trust issues. There were moments that the book made me want to cry but ultimately it was an uplifting story of what love can conquer.

This book is filled with so much intense feelings and memories that it made me feel like I was there in the middle of the story. Both Zoe and Connor dealt with way too much in their past. I was so glad to see that they were finally able to overcome so much. The ability to trust for either of them was so impossible. These characters had depth and were well written. I received a copy of this book on Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Tracing her ancestry leads to a whole new family

Impossible Liaison is a well written novel with a family twist. Set in Auckland, New Zealand with a cast of likable characters, it tells a story of two survivors with a rough upbringing. Ms. Ashby has woven together a tale of dislike, distrust, secrets, and undeniable attraction and gives us the happily ever after ending. This is the first book of Anne Ashby that I have read. I have already order another book of hers to read.

This is the first book I've read by Anne and i look forward to reading more.I enjoyed this book it was really well written with a very interesting plot.You can not help but like and feel for both Zoe and Conner they wer great characters.A great read i would recommend.
