I grew up on motivational books but after reading a hundred or so they all start to sound the same. The struggle to expand your sense of what is impossible is a legitimate journey that we all take. With that in mind I will never condemn a writer who makes an honest effort to inspire others. This booklet is a quick reminder of the simple process you must go through to break down mental barriers. It is a very easy read, it's straight forward and makes no great claims. Impossible encourages the ambitions of its readers and from then on it's up to you. For less than a dollar on Kindle you can't beat the price. I read it only days before entering my first 5k race, perhaps I wanted a little confidence boost. Like a 5 hour energy it perked me up right when I needed it.

I came across Joel's manifesto a few months back as I was doing a little soul searching. Much like Joel, I had come to a point in my life where I was not living up to the expectations I have for myself. I wanted to do more, be more, and achieve more. Reading this manifesto helped light a fire under me. Gave me the confidence, motivation, and tools to pursue goals I had that had some how found themselves on the back burner. It's a very light read and Joel has a way of writing that emphasis a conversation with the reader. It's almost as if he's right there next to you speaking. Pick it up today and don't look back!

This is a wonderful, inspiring resource. It shows you the way to have courage when you don't and inspires you to do more than you think you possibly can. So the title is quite fitting and it is all about doing the impossible.

For followers of the blog or not, Joel has put together a great summation of his ideas and inspirational thought. To anyone who is concerned with making their life more incredible, this is a great call to arms. It's a great inspiration to get out and do something.

This book is a short but powerful call to action. It is designed to sweep away our excuses and encourage us to move forward with our dreams - whatever they may be. Joel Runyon likens every human life to a movie or book, and asks us to write a better story for ourselves, and for the world.

This book will either propel you into an adventure or make you angry. If it makes you angry, you might want to ask yourself why. Is it because he pokes at the 'logical' excuses we use to stay on the sofa, or is it because you've bought into the 'shoulds' for a long time and just realized how badly you've been tricked? This is the book for people who are ready to make some changes.

If you asked me for a quick review, I'd tell you this book was well worth the .99 I paid for it.

But when compared to similar manifestos (for me, Michael Margolis's Storytelling Manifesto and Jeff Goins Writer's Manifesto), the Impossible Manifesto seems a bit longer than it needs to be. Not that this lessened my enjoyment, only that I could see it shorter.

Annnnnnd that's all I the negative I have to say. I loved the message, the prodding, the encouragement and the voice. Buy it, read it, and then do what it says.

This was the nuts and bolts of prepping to "write your life's story" whatever that may involve and for me, this manifesto made me realize something new. I KNEW that I was standing in my own way with so many things in my life - it's always been "me standing in MY way". But for my business, Joel Runyon pointed out something that I never realized - I was addicted to inspiration. I belong to a very successful team and I felt pretty successful by association and I am one of its biggest cheerleaders but I always knew that success had little to do with MY contributions. I will continue to be a huge cheerleader but I will stop living vicarioussly through their success and figure out how to be an inspiration to others. Thanks Joel~

Seriously, motivation doesn't get more explosive than this.

If the Impossible Manifesto were a drink, it would be a high-powered Gatorade flushing down your gullet.
I read it in one sitting (or should I say - one standing ?) and got fired up like New Year's Eve.

It's an ode to action - grabbing the impossible by its horns and riding it with endless fire inside.
If you want to get a kick to start your wildest dreams, this little manifesto will be happy to smack your butt.

And for that little money, it's a steal.
