Nicely written, but nothing here worth more than $.99, if that. The ironic thing is how unfocused the writing is. For example, under the heading HOW TO DEVELOP UNSHAKEABLE FOCUS the writer merely waxes poetic on passion, never explaining or even approaching the unshakable focus discussion. It comes across as the kind of INTERNET MILLIONAIRE attempt in which someone does a little Google research and slaps together several pages of notes into a "report." I feel like my focus actually suffered from trying to focus on reading this report.

HOW TO GET FOCUSED AT WORK is the first book that I have read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last! It was packed with excellent, practical, easy to follow advice.

Table of Contents:
What to do if fear is paralyzing your actions & thinking
The power of focus
The myth of multitasking
How to develop clean focus
Reaction vs Action when it comes to productivity
"Be like water"
How to develop unshakable focus and concentration
How to organize your time effectively & get things done in less time
More information on how to improve your memory

I liked that it was it was a concise and quick read. It was easy to highlight notes, so now I can go back to review, as I put this great info into action! I will be going back through this ebook as I put 'getting focused' into practice.

I read this pamphlet-length book. It was okay and had several useful tips. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who was looking for a very detailed guide, but I found it useful. It contained some minor grammatical errors, but it was not extremely distracting.

Usually these types of books spend the first five chapters
Telling you why you need this book I never understood that. I already purchased the book why are you still trying to sell me.
Anyway this book gets right to the subject. Offers some great insight. Some of which seams obvious when reading yet on reflection I am making many of the time mistakes mentioned. I like the way the info was covered and organized and will most

I received this pamphlet-length ebook in exchange for a review. So here are my thoughts on it:

It appears not to be finalized yet. The title it was offered to me under was "The Art Of Staying Focused: How to Concentrate At Work and Stop Getting Sidetracked?" The email delivering the book described it as "my book on getting more focused," but didn't mention the title. The title on the ebook cover reads "The Art Of Getting Focused - How To Stay Focused At Work - X Ways To Get Focused", while the title page reads "How to Get Focused At Work?", with a subtitle of "Productivity Report." So I checked the books added at LibraryThing. A variant of the title offered was added as a book in LT by the author: "The Art Of Staying Focused: How to Concentrate At Work?" This book shows a cover that reads "Productivity Reports!: The Art Of Staying Focused: How to Concentrate At Work?" The copyright date is listed as 2012-2013. Maybe there have been multiple editions? If so, this isn’t marked as a “later edition.”

The pamphlet needs some formatting attention. Some paragraphs are justified, others are right justified with a ragged left. Fonts are used indiscriminately. For example, a san serif font for the Table of Contents (hereafter, "T/C") (without links to the related content), and a serifed font for the rest of the book is jarring. The named sections (in the T/C) are not numbered, and in the body of the book don't begin a new page, or have white space to set them off before the new section heading. The section headings are not formatted to prevent a page break in the middle of a heading.

Headings in the text don't match the headings listed in the T/C. For example, one of the T/C headings is "Reaction Versus Action When It Comes To Productivity," but the related heading in the text reads "The Difference Between Reaction And Action When It Comes To Productivity." Another reads "Be Like Water" in the T/C and in the text ""Be Like Water" -- Bruce Lee" (with quotation marks around the "Be Like Water"). Note that the capitalizations in all of these title versions and headings are as they read in the book and while not wrong, seem to violate the usual customs (for example, "of" is capitalized, while the usual practice would be not to capitalize it), so I found them jarring. Most of the headings in the text are in bold type, but the last one "About the Author" is not bold, but is in an outline box.

My impression is that the T/C may have been the author's working outline, which never got a final edit. There are two headings in the T/C which don't have corresponding sections in the book. "More Information on How to Improve Your Memory" and "MORE," while the text has a section whose heading doesn't appear in the T/C "Claim Your Free Reports Now!" (essentially a section advertising the author's other books) which appears before the "About the Author" section.

As to the content. The "voice" is all over the place. Conversational in places, authoritarian in others. As a result, distracting. It seems to be the equivalent of a high school essay, sourced from researched works on the topic. Perhaps prepared using dictation software, and then not sufficiently edited.

At any rate, I can't recommend it.

I am not sure why this is even a book. There are no practical tools ..just author's thoughts. You can print the entire book on 5 pages and summarize on one page. Price should not be more than $0.99 cents.
