About the Author
Scott Diering, M.D., was born and raised in New Jersey. The second of three children, he grew up ever-curious and thirsting for knowledge and education. He graduated Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ in 1983, and earned a Master's degree in clinical psychology from UNC-Greensboro in 1986. He worked with developmentally disabled adults while preparing for medical school. He graduated Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1992. After being accepted in, but not integrating well with, a neurosurgical residency, he completed a residency in emergency medicine, at the University of Michigan, in 1998. He now lives and practices emergency medicine in Maryland.

I have been very pleased with the improvements I have made in my life and my practice since I have read this book. It is not religious or anything. It clearly defines what we need to do so that we will be liked, that's all. Then, it gives example stories. Some of the stories are really funny, too!
It is well written, fast, easy reading and very sage.
(I review it anonymously now so no one knows the secret of my transformation and how poorly I used to relate to other people! I plan to give this book to several nerdy colleagues.)
