This is the best version I've seen of a classic. Unlike most others, the table of contents is expanded to include every item, rather than just a short list of chapters. Content is what you would expect if you are at all familiar. Not only is it a great glimpse into manuals of the sort, but the information is clear. Many of the "recipes" would actually be very helpful to hobbyist chemists or history buffs who want to understand how many of these chemicals would be manufactured or refined without industrial production methods.
I can't vouch for the safety and efficacy of all items, but I can tell you that the material looks identical to official issue manuals I've seen.

This book is an exact reproduction of the "U.S. Army Improvised Munitions Handbook", also sold on Amazon, which I thought was just how to take household items and use them in an emergency, but it assumes that you have access to all sorts of military gear. Not like a simple how to booby trap your yard kind of book. Too scary. This counterfeit has no Copyright information, Library of Congress Catalog Data, etc... like real books have on page 3. This is just an exact enlarged copy of all the pages in the real book, with a different cover, claiming on the cover to be an Army publication, and on the last page it just says, "Made in the USA, San Bernadino, CA, 29 August 2013 (the date I ordered it). I thought I was buying an updated improved version of the official military handbook. I feel like I was tricked. Let the buyer beware! Incidentally, my wife didn't buy it, I did, thinking it might be useful some day if TSHTF. Not so unless you own an armory.

Excellent information and history of munitions. A must have should Ammunition become unavailable, or firearms no longer available so he can protect his Family. I would recommend this Book and Amazon to Everyone.

Bought this book to see if there had been any changes since I was in the army.....there weren't any in this area. Interesting info for some readers, but a warning...........army manuals are not written by Tom Clancy.

there are a lot of items in the book that are descriped the same as in other books from the army, but you have to expect that since they use some sections to make those items clear in case you might have over looked them in there other manuals.

I like this book. I think some of it a bit fanciful and impractical but It is a good read and many of the ideas in it must have had a lot of thought put into it. I would like to see more of this stuff
