I was a bit daunted by the price of these, but I bought one and found it to exceed my expectations. I've been using Kissaluvs Contour Diapers with Diaperaps covers and the combination works pretty well. My baby is very tall for her weight and so always uses the next diaper size up and some just don't close around her legs very well, but these Imse Vimse Bumpy Wool covers work wonderfully for her. These are on the large side so they fit her well around the waist and the legs.

They are well made too. There is a peice of covered elastic at the waiste that keeps it snug and the side of the velcro on the front of the diaper where you attach the sides is very large so you can adjust it to fit well. The best part of that is that the scratch velcro flap has plenty of space to lay down and "catch" on rather than staying loose and scratching her legs like the Diaperaps covers do.

The tag hangs on the front of the diaper, which I don't like when I only put a shirt on her. But I do like that it is the sort of tag that you can read after many washings - so that you don't have to remember what size you bought last time and can read it when ordering new ones. These also last longer on my baby. I go through new sizes of Diaperaps diapers very quickly, but am still using the same Imse diaper covers (after three sizes of the other).

Best of all these are machine washable as the ad says, but I throw mine in the drier and haven't had any trouble with doing that. You might not want to take my word for it though in case mine were unique, but I was able to. Also, if you don't throw them in the dryer, they dry rather quickly hanging up.

These are made in Japan and the weights given for the size are in kilograms on the label.

These were my first wool covers and I am now a convert. I've been using G-diapers, but found that the plastic liner started to smell of urine after about two months and makes the whole nursery stink. I imagine this would be a problem with any diaper that has a plastic or pul component. Wool covers do not have this problem at all. I've been using these covers for two months as well and they are holding up beautifully. The G-diapers medium/large cloth inserts fit the small size imse vimse cover perfectly.

Favorite features: The wool is soft. I machine wash them with the rest of my diapers, first on a cold cycle, then warm, and then dry in the dryer on a regular hot setting. I haven't lanolized them yet, but will have to soon. The velcro area is very large, making the diaper very adjustable. The leg gussets do a beautiful job of holding everything in. My daughter never had any leaks in these (or gdiapers for that matter), while her always large, watery poops cause blow-outs in disposable diapers almost every single time. I like to put these over disposables when we're going for a long car trip and I may not get to her diaper immediately after she poops. While poo stains the trim and gusset parts easily, getting them to look brand new again is as easy as leaving them out in full sun for a few hours.

Not so favorite: small leg openings. My daughter is 13lbs and 24 inches long, so definitely not chubby, but the leg openings are already snug. Meanwhile, the rest of the diaper is amply sized and can accommodate two prefolds for heavy-wetters. It's a much bulkier fit than the small gdiapers I also use, so these are my night time covers while I search for a wool cover with a trimmer fit.

I switched to cloth because I was tired of night-time leaks. After trying different systems, I thought I would go with wool. These covers, once lanolized, are absolutely bulletproof. I use it together with either fitteds, countours or prefolds w/snappi. Love them!

Not a trim fit but since I use it for nighttime, who cares. They are nice and soft to the touch, don't retain odors and you only need to wash it like once a month.

Did i mention I love them? lol

Can not say enough good things about this Imse Vimse cover. It is not as bulky as some wool covers and is every bit as absorbent. Simply put, this cover is a work horse. It cleans nicely, I actually machine washed mine with Eucalan without a problem. If you are considering a wool cover, this is definitely one to try!
