A doctor's heart. Some steel themselves, some wither away, but for most, it's a struggle to keep the flicker of humanity alive inside themselves. This book will make you feel (in bold and underline or big capital letters) the tug of war inside a medical professional's heart and mind, between science and their humanness.
So many of these verses resonated with my experiences. Even if you have only been a patient, or a care giver, some will resonate with your touchpoints with healthcare professionals and the healthcare system.
Some of the stories may sound unreal to those who haven't been to crowded public hospitals in large cities.
A doctor's perspective beautifully captured.
Most of the poems are short stories of amazing tales. If you read poetry or short stories, don't miss out on this one.
