The plot was so riveting that I pulled an all-nighter because I just couldn't put it down! The characters were complex and in the hero's case, mysterious. Keenan truly IS the "strong, silent type"! I found both Savannah and Keenan very relatable. Several times I found myself thinking, "That's just like me!"
Savannah is a successful business woman in the hospitality/hotel industry. Keenan works for a rival company that is buying a failing hotel from Savannah's boss and is also one of her cousins' closest friends. There are instant sparks, despite Keenan's silence. Savannah wants to learn all of Keenan's secrets and get close to him like her cousins, despite repeated warnings to stay away from him. Will Savannah be able to stay away from Keenan? Or will she risk a broken heart and estranging her cousins for a shot at a relationship with Keenan? Will Keenan even let her in?
This was not my first book by Eden Summers, and it definitely won't be my last! Her writing just gets better and better! I can't wait to see what she will write next!
I reviewed this book on behalf of A Book Lover's Emporium.
Savannah works for Rydel Hotels. Her ex boyfriend Spencer, is the heir to the hotel chain. He made some mistakes but he's arrogant enough to think he can win her back. Too arrogant if you ask Savannah. Savannah is being sent to Seattle to deal with a problem. A problem her boss volunteered her for because it involves her cousin Penny. It seems Penny is the main problem. Savannah arrives in Seattle and is forced into a family dinner where she meets Keenan. She is instantly attracted to him. Talking to Keenan is like talking to a brick wall. Literally. He's gorgeous and sexy, but he's either deaf or arrogant and so full of himself that he doesn't respond. He seems to be hearing her but not caring enough to answer; even though he can't seem to take his eyes off her. That changes quickly when Penny enters the picture. Penny hasn't changed much. Well maybe she's become more bitter. It seems she still resents things that happened when her and Savannah were younger. Too bad Keenan seems to be acquainted with Penny also. Penny is not happy about the attraction between Keenan and Savannah. It looks a though Savannah may have an even bigger fight on her hands besides the hotel problem. And Keenan knowing Penny, seems to be only one of the many secrets he's been keeping. As soon as I began reading chapter one, I was hooked. Savannah and Keenan had undeniable chemistry and I was curious to see how it would progress. Keenan is devastating handsome, so sure of himself. Savannah is smart and gorgeous and was unable to resist her attraction for Keenan. She knew she should stay away, but the pull between them was too strong. The emails were an awesome addition to the story. They gave insight into feelings and into the future as well. THIS BOOK WAS WELL WRITTEN WITH AN AMAZING, ORIGINAL STORYLINE AND AWESOME, LIKEABLE CHARACTERS ! THE SEX WAS HOT ! RIP THE SHEETS - HAIR PULLING - BED BREAKING SEX ! ! ! LOVED IT ! DEFINITELY ONE-CLICK ASAP ! ! !
Loved all the characters. Savannah (Savvy) is a tough cookie. She knows what she wants and consequences be damned and that includes family. Keenan is a hot, alpha male with many secrets. I wasn't so sure they were going to get their HEA a couple of times throughout the book. Deceit is usually a relationship killer but I was glad that although both hurt and mad they were able to see past themselves and figure out what was important.
The secondary characters of Dominic and Penny deserve stories themselves. I wasn't so sure about Penny in the beginning but she redeemed herself in my eyes by the end. They both deserve their own HEA.
Ms. Summers has hit one out of the park with this one. Do not pass up this book...you will not be disappointed!
This book blew me away. I fell in love with the characters of Keenan and Savannah right away. This story was heartwarming, heartbreaking, sexy, sweet and full of romance. Ms. Summers has been one of my favorite authors for awhile and with Inarticulate she has firmly cemented her place on my Kindle! One of the best books I have read this year—don’t miss out!
