You’re not going to want to pass this one by! Kadence is a sassy woman that knows who she is. Nix is a hot, dirty mouthed and bossy biker who knows how to fire up “Miss Turner.”

Yes... Here come spoilers.. Big Spoilers... Stop Here if you want to be surprised...

Incandescent starts with Kadence Turner surviving a house fire and being abandoned by her butt of a fiancé Zane. Three years later, Kadence has recovered from her injuries and is teaching middle school. A terse parent meeting with one of her student’s dad, Nix, changes Miss Turner from prim and proper school teacher into a blossoming woman.

Nix is president of the local MC club, a club that works hard at being legal, staying clean, and promoting the community. All that illegal and bad dealing stuff is in the past. Isn’t it?

Nix is like a big kid, he sees what he wants and goes after it wanting it now. Kadence loves Nix’s dirty mouth and bossy ways but won’t admit it. Nix is full of charm in how he tells Kadence how it is. This attitude of Nix’s carries through where we see Nix pursuing Kadence, how he loves her and wanting her to be permanent in his life. I loved seeing both the hard biker side of Nix and the soft loving side of him.

Nix’s son is having issues being in a split family. Incandescent handled Z’s issues very well. It’s always hard to introduce a new person into a kid’s life and Kadence handled this brilliantly.

Kadence’s ex-fiancé shows back up in town. He threatens and abducts Kadence and her best friend Holly. Both Kadence and Holly must fight for their lives especially after Holly is shot just because Zane is evil.

The story of Kadence is bright as she weaves her way through the people in the book.

This was a promising start from what feels like a new author. The characters need to get out of their heads! This was the most frustrating part of the book for me, I found myself skimming just to get to the dialog. Also there were many instances where the author told us the story instead of letting us learn or experience things at the same time as the characters. For example, on their first date, they go out to his back deck... next thing we know they are heading inside after he told her all about his club. He was so glad she was so accepting. What did you specifically tell her? What was discussed? How much does she know? Maybe if he didnt have 4 pages of internal monolog about his club in the chapter before, we could have experienced their conversation first hand. Another example is the heroine`s first club party. The brothers warn her that it gets crazy and she better be prepared, she says she's up for anything. Next thing we know... she's waking up with a hangover from an amazing night! What the heck happened at the party? They semi-recap it at the bar the next day but it's not the same as experiencing the feelings/emotions of the characters. I think that would have been a great time to see the heroine really come into her ownership of her role in the club. It was a missed opportunity.
I may read more from this author in the future, but need more character development along the way.

What do you get when you mix a sexy as sin, dirty talking, hot alpha male with a sassy, smarty pants teacher? Well you get one hell of debut novel from River Savage. An action packed, steamy, scorchingly hot book that will set your panties on fire. Set your panties on fire? Hell, your damn panties will be disintegrated the second you read a single word about Nix. River Savage doesn’t just knock this one out of the park - she clears the whole effing stadium. I was anxiously awaiting this release, and when I was lucky enough to be offered an ARC - I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed if I said yes. And I was right. I’m such a fan of MC novels, I love the danger, the hot romance and the very sexy bikers. Incandescent hit all these points for me - I took my time with this one, not wanting it to end.

Kadence Turner is a young, beautiful school teacher. She loves her job and her life just the way it is. She has her best friend Holly, and a passion for teaching. Scorned from a brutal past relationship, she has no time for men or the drama that comes with them. She gave her heart away once to the wrong man and carries the scars of that relationship to this day. Relationships and men are not for her - a lesson she learned the hard way. A routine parent/teacher meeting about one of her students has all of that changing rapidly. When Nix Knight enters her classroom - a demanding, bossy, arrogant man...he immediately brings out her passionate nature and snarky attitude. She won’t be bullied, and she is more than capable of matching him round for round, especially on her turf - her classroom. Nix doesn’t know it then, but he’s about to get schooled by the tiny teacher.

Phoenix “Nix” Knight. President of the Knight’s Rebel MC, he is a man used to getting his way.

Incandescent is an MC book but it is different from a lot of the MC books I have read previously. These bikers are outlaws but help protect the city they run from the outlaws. I really enjoyed this take on the MC and its bikers.

Kadence is a school teacher, who is doing what she loves. Her life hasn’t been easy in the past few years and Kadence is still dealing with the after effects of everything that happened to her. One after school meeting will change her life forever. I really liked that Kadence, even though going through all her trauma, is a strong woman. She won’t be bullied and knows how to stand up for herself. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t learn when it is ok to let someone else take care of her and just let go.

Nix is one hot Alpha biker. He is also a caring father who puts his son first. I think that part of him is what made me fall in love. Nix has taken over as President of Knights Rebels MC after his father. He has turned the club around from a negative to a positive mark of their community. He has a crazy ex wife who is delusional.

The secondary characters were great. I really want to know more about Jesse. He has a past I want to know about. I love his relationship with Kadence and how protective he is of her. Even if it means being that way with his Prez.

Holly broke my heart. I can’t imagine what she was dealing with through half the book but I really want to know everything that happened behind the main storyline with her and a hot biker! She needs to get her HEA!!

Once Nix and Kadence get together it is fireworks! The sexy scenes were hot but did not take away from the story line.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in the series.
