This is a fantastic Aji Amarillo paste/sauce. Very hot and full of flavor. I make a Picante de Pollo with this that rivals that found in Peru. My invented recipe is to make a light roux, use a chicken broth and mix with this Aji Amarillo. Add potatoes and chicken and serve on rice! Compare this to the Goya product (which is terrible, tastes like gelatin) and you'll understand how good this is.

To be fair, the flavor is amazing. An authentic yellow aji worthy of an amazing huancaina sauce.

Unfortunately, as the pictures show, the bottle arrived unsealed. The strip of tape that was placed there apparently to hold the lid securely did not seem to work. Rather I'm sure it kep it from unscrewing, but I believe it was kept in a hot environment for too long, which popped the seal and caused paste to leak from the edges.

This item is supposed to be "refundable but not returnable" if it arrives damaged. However, the product carries the wrong link - return or replace - which leads to a screen that says "this item is not eligible for returns."

Much to my good fortune, after keeping it in the refrigerator for several days I saw zero signs of bacterial or mold growth. The leaks must have happened very shortly before delivery, so I was still able to use it.
