The head-straps make for comfortable viewing; just don't neglect the included nose-pads! Without them, I found myself needing to use my hands to take the pressure of the headset off the bridge of my nose. This distracted from the VR experience. Even padded, the nose area isn't perfect; I'll likely have to rig up something softer for longer viewing sessions. The face-padding, though, is very effective and also works as a seal to keep out ambient light.
Loading the viewer is simple; just pull the front lid-flap forward and center your phone on the foam circle. There is also an insertable bracket you can use to ensure the phone is placed in the correct location. The lid snaps securely back into place thanks to a magnetic closure system. Very well designed.
I deducted one star from my rating because the nose area could be more comfortable and also the instructions for the Bluetooth remote are difficult to understand. It's frustrating when manufacturers spend the money to put together a great product, but don't put enough investment toward proper translation of their manuals, guides, etc.Read more ›
Side note, my best friend and coworker lived these too, he walked around with the headset on and open for like 10 minutes before he even got to try the apps out. We both thought it was hilarious that he looks like the guy from trailer park boys with the cats lol. There is an included image of that!.
I got these at a discount for my honest review!

I've used Google Cardboard previously, and while the idea was a good one, one major shortcoming was that larger phones weren't really supported well. Incredisonic has solved that problem with their Vue Series Combo System, which is built to handle phones up to the size of a iPhone 6 Plus. The company has apparently responded to previous suggestions, as they now include well-translated instructions and batteries for the remote in the package. Pairing the remote with your phone's Bluetooth is pretty much painless. After that, getting up and running is as simple as plugging in your headphones, centering your phone in the front compartment, and closing the hatch. The headset is well padded and comfortable, and seals out just about all outside light. Three adjustable straps ensure that you'll have a great fit no matter your head size. A quick search for "Google Cardboard" in Google Play or the App Store will pull up several apps to get you started on your path to virtual reality.

Setup: Directions are very easy to follow. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries that are not included. Includes a Bluetooth remote that requires 2 AAA batteries that are not included. The controller must be paired with your device. Complete instructions on pairing are included. It is a very simple process. The remote serves as a standard remote for movies or a joystick for games.
You will need to either have a movie downloaded or movie streaming app on your phone. You simply choose your movie and set it to play. Put your phone in the viewer and close the flap. The inside is lined with foam so your phone is protected and not moving around when using the glasses. The closure where the phone is inserted is tightly closed and there is no concern that the phone will fall out.
You really need to use the adjustable head straps when viewing the movie. I did find myself getting a bit dizzy. Foam lines the outside of the glassed which pad the area your head touches. Nose padding also is provided. I recommend you use the nose padding for optimal comfort as the plastic resting on your nose does get uncomfortable.
In order to get the best experience, make sure that your phone is centered.
Technology has really taken us into another world. The quality of the 3D really astounded me. The characters look so very up close and the background seems far away.Read more ›
