From the Publisher

Also available in the same format: KIDS' INCREDIBLE FISHING STORIES, where author Sean Morey turns his attention to young anglers. A collection of Bizarre Catches, Fierce and Fantastic Fish, Awesome Anglers, and Record Breakers.

From the Back Cover

A grueling 37-hour fight with a Pacific salmon. The maimed fisherman whose severed thumb turned up in the belly of a Mackinaw trout. From extraordinary marlin quests to the crazy bat who took an artificial fly, from hackle-raising tales of "fish catches man" to those nutty catfish noodlers who grope into the murkiest holes bare-handed, here are fishing's most unpredictable and spectacular tales. To get them, Shaun Morey traveled from Alaska to Australia, Mexico and the Caribbean, interviewed anglers, boat captains, guides and witnesses, dug up photographs and video tapes, and confirmed each story.

Yes, truth is stranger than fiction.

"This collection will both amuse and stretch your credulity . . . some of the origins might just surprise you." -- Bob Stearns, [Field & Stream]

"The things that happen to fishermen in this book are unbelievable." -- Rolla Williams, San Diego Union-Tribune

I have three children ages 11,12,14. Ever since this book came, there has been "friendly fighting" over it. Any fisherman should like it.

This book is a must for the avid fisherman. After my husband got a copy and throughly enjoyed it, I got one for my two grandsons and a nephew. It has become one of their favorite books. Very entertaining with 'incredible' fish stories.

he got a real kick out of this book and it brought a smile to his face -- he couldn't help picking it up and reading it -- even though we were a houseful of christmas family -- loud and boisterous, tv on, dogs running wild, and everyone talking at once! He sat there reading and laughing. I bought as a companion to his wooden fishing reel toilet paper holder for his bathroom!

Good gift for grandson who likes facts and is learning to fish. His older cousin, already a fly fisherman, wants to borrow the book. It was a hit.

It's a book that encourages reading -- always a good thing.

As a reading tutor I am always looking for books for teenaged boys who really don't like to read. One of my students, an avid fisherman, said he wished they wrote books about fishing. So I did the search, and Amazon came up with this gem, collected short fish tales, amusingly illustrated and mostly plausible. He grabbed the book as soon as I gave it to him, says he loves the stories and he's so glad I found it. I think it's the first time he ever enjoyed reading. Thanks Amazon.

Incredible Fishing Stories is exactly what it is titled. Short stories about the ones that didn't get away. Stories were interesting and humorous. If you use a Kindle as I do, you will definately want to read the story - especially if you are a fisherman. I attempted to use the text to speech feature while relaxing, the computer voice doesn't do the trick. As a fisherman reading a fish tale, my emotions pour into my story reading, something the cpu can't do. Great Little book, very worth purchasing.

This is just the type of book that every fisherman needs. Inspiration for any fishing trip, it's easy to read and filled with incredible photographs and fun illustrations. The stories have been verified by the author and most are whoppers of a tale. I even recommend this to non-fishermen. Especially the "Revenge of the Fish" section. Some harrowing and some hilarious. You'll love this book! And it looks like the author now has a fishy novel out title Wahoo Rhapsody. I'll definitely give it a look.
