This is a classic comic book with a great story. I even have the statue of the cover of Wolverine vs The Incredible Hulk made by Sideshow Collectibles. I also have the cover as a poster hanging in my room.
Hulk like he always is and a cool and none-too revealing Wolverine origin story with a great little fight and tension on the side. Glad Wolverine lost the bottom of his mask and that this doesn't try to give it all away at once.
The artwork is beautiful. The history of the book is beautiful. It's Hulk. It's Wolverine. It was a pleasure reading it especially now that I'm finally a proud owner of a physical copy of this Bronze Era gem. So pumped!!!
I'm not a comic reader and never was. But I do love the movies and it was cool to glance at their origins. The Kindle version of this is pretty cool. You can change your view so that each panel displays separately on your device. Each one was sharp, clear image of what the artists and story tellers probably hoped to express. Definitely cool to see what all the fuss has been about in such an affordable, well-done fashion.
These old 70s comics don't really hold up as well as the 80s. Many of the themes, dialogue and plot is still in its rudimentary stages and so you have to forgive the simple and the overly direct writing.

Artist Herb Trimpe makes this a true Marvel Masterwork. His Kirby-esque line work only adds to the Hulk's raw power. Writer Len Wein took what could have been a one issue throw away villain in Wolverine, and turned him into a fan favorite anti-hero. The story was amazingly simple. The Hulk and Windego (Canada's Big Foot) get in a battle, Wolverine interferes, chaos ensues. If you buy no other single issues again, buy this one! You won't be sorry. You'll see a bit of Marvel history in the making.
Not as impressive as I expected it to be. I suppose the fight was well thought out, but there could've been more between Hulk and Wolverine. Wendigos role was anticlimactic.
