Chelsea Carerra was orphaned at the age of eight, leaving her with a brother who needed more help than the foster family who took them in could handle. Chelsea may have been adopted by her foster parents but she remains close with her brother Karl who is in a state facility. The problem is Karl isn’t getting the care he needs to flourish but Chelsea found a program that will give him just what he needs. Too bad it cost more than a college student’s makes. Chelsea is an independent young woman who lost so much as a child but ended up as one of the lucky one to get an amazing set of foster parents and siblings. Chelsea wouldn’t know where she’d be if she didn’t have her parents and Zach, her foster brother.
Alex Silverhaus grew up with everything but parents who actually spent time with him. His butler Jamison is a great substitute father and has always been there for him. His father Henry Silverhaus owned a flourishing production company so Alex grew up around Hollywood. Alex is a known playboy who is trying to get his own movies made, even though his father thinks he’s wasting his time. Meanwhile running the family business is just as a stepping stone to what he really wants to do. Alex is a man who know what he wants but when it comes to the execution, he isn’t so good at that.Read more ›
Chelsea needs money to help pay for her brothers care. What better way than to work as a maid for the summer for a wealthy older gentleman, even if the site you got the job from seems to have a bit of a reputation……
What Chelsea wasn't counting on was the man who actually hired her. A man who only hired her to rile up his father but who ended up with so much more than he expected.
I adored the characters in this novel, even the ‘evil’ ones. Their characters were so well written. I loved Alex’s butler Jamison, how his characters relationship with Chelsea developed was heartwarming.
April, I had a love hate relationship with her in my mind, once you read the book you'll understand. She is a perfectly written Hollywood diva! Chelsea I loved tho I will ad,it to wanting to reach into my kindle just to give her a slap and to yell at her to stop being so naïve! Alex……I'm not sure what I felt in relation to him. Looking back over his and Chelsea's encounters, besides the physical aspect, it left me wondering why she would bother with him, he seemed like a self absorbed, uncertain man. Saying that I couldn't help but love him, Ms Parker is just that good a character writer in my humble opinion.
I will admit to one thing tho, and that was wanting to know more of their relationship. I have a love hate relationship with novels where the characters finally resolve their issues, fall into each others arms to the encounter the words THE END!! I know this could lead to a long book but I admit to liking to see an epilogue set x amount of time into the future. Saying that however it is a lovely lighthearted, easy read that will leave you smiling at the end.
Well worth a one click.
Please note I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved reading about Chelsea as she has done well for herself considering when she was younger her mother abandoned both her and her younger brother Zach and their father was also killed in a car crash. She managed to look after herself growing up but she was also worried about Zach as he was diagnosed as Autism when he was younger and however now she is in college and is hoping to secure enough money to help pay for Zach's place in a programme that specifically helps with children who have Autism.
The only way that Chelsea has found that can help her get the money is by applying for a job as a cleaning lady at a bachelors house where she would spend the summer there working. Chelsea didn't want to be away from Zach and her friends and foster family but she knew that the only way she could help her brother was to take on this job. However the last thing that she was expecting was to fall for Alex, since meeting him her world has turned completely upside down but she can't help but feel that there is something there. Little does she know that she was originally hired as a joke to annoy Alex's father but even after she became aware of that Alex still decided to keep her on as staff.
Alex was sure what to expect when Chelsea turned up at his manor to work for him but the moment he saw her he didn't know what was going on in his head or heart but he could tell that this was going to be an interesting few months.Read more ›

I like the book for the most part but the characters irritated to a little because they did not have a enough back bone to confront the people that was standing in their way. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Book Reader
The book would have been better if the editing had been better. There were quite a few typos. But over all I like the story.Published 1 month ago by Judith K. Thompson
