There were too many other points of view in this story, when we couldn't even get some interaction between the supposed main characters. I have no idea why they even love each other. We start the story with them in love. We don't even get their full backgrounds. I don't know that it was even revealed why Walker went to jail, or how he became a tattoo artist. We don't know much about Erika's past other than something messed up happened with her foster parents. Instead this read like a great, big, incomplete soap opera. I have no idea why the ratings were so high on this book.
I would recommend this.
Erika has loved Walker from afar for awhile. After getting up the courage to tell him, it is a passionate night only to be ruined by a confession about her past and Walker walking away and refusing to talk to her. Erika returns home only to fall into herself. Walker begins a path of destruction that is all to familiar. Both have to figure out if they can move past the hurt to have any future.
I was intrigued by this story, there were several twists I didn't expect between the two lead characters. I think I would have liked a bit more background fill ins that would help explain the way both Walker and Erika acted afterward. Overall very good story though, if your looking for a book to curl up to this is one to pick up.
