Product Description

What makes our lint trap filter so unique is not only its ability to efficiently capture lint, but to filter the air from the dryer as well. It does this by using a patented fine screen and water drawer system which prevents fine particles of lint from recirculating back into the dryer causing damage or fires. The screen also has the added benefit of recycling the heat from your dryer which will not only lessen your impact on the environment, but save you money on your next heating bill as well. Our fine stainless steel screen does not need replacement, they will last as long as the unit. In addition, we've even made cleaning the screen an easy task to do. By simply rotating the knob on the front of the unit once, you can scrape all of the lint off of the back of the filter without having to take it apart and having to touch any of the lint. The lint from the screen will be dropped in the water drawer (which already captured the dust and larger lint pieces). At this point all you have to do is empty the drawer, put fresh water in it and slide it back in place. WATER? Yes, our lint trap filter uses water to cleanse the vented air of lint, fine particles and dust. Water provides a much better result than filters alone. Some of our customers recommended putting a drop or two of your favorite essential oils into the water drawer, which will leave your house smelling great while you're drying your clothes! Please note: this unit is not recommended for gas dryers.

And the world will beat a path to your dryer door. I moved to a condo where the previous owner, whom I call the world's worst person, vented the dryer by hanging a hose out the window. I would have cost me nearly $2000 to duct the dryer to the roof, so I searched around and unfortunately did not find this product, purchasing instead one of the little bucket traps. It worked OK, but only after stretching an old nylon stocking over the holes; otherwise dust everywhere -- and cleaning the nylon of acumulated lint was a nightmare. It was also difficult to snap together, and so flimsy, it always popped open and off the wall. Then I found this little gem. If you are looking for a similar solution, this is the one to get. Well built, sturdy, easy to mount, easy to keep clean, and with a fine metal screen and a water trap, it catches more lint than I realized came out the vent. Rarely do I find such a simple little product tha is so clearly better than the competition.

I replaced my standard bucket-style lint trap with this new version, and I've never been happier with a purchase. It works like a charm. It's easy to hook up and use. If you hate the flying dust from the other types of indoor lint solutions, buy this product. Other than venting to the outdoors, it's the only thing that really works!!!

The hose pipe on my old dryer exhaust set up literally fell apart. I went looking for info on how it was supposed to be properly set up because I suspected it wasn't. What I found out was that it was not set up correctly and the run of piping was way too long for the number of bends in it. That was when I decided on an indoor filter. This one is pricey but had the best recommendations, so I bought it.

My son installed this for me and I have been using it for about a month now. In the summer I do not want to stand in front of it any more than I have to. In 80 degree weather, even in my basement, it gets hot and muggy. When the outdoors is cooler, and I live in a smallish condo, this filter puts out precious humidity. I haven't done it yet, but I'll probably want to stand in front of it in the winter.

This is easy care. At first I couldn't figure out how to easily empty the water chamber. I had a hard time juggling the outflow of waste water and not letting the bits of lint that settle in the water to go down the drain. About the third time, I laid a clean paper towel over the sink drain. I slowly started to pour out the water. The water soaks through, the lint settles on the paper towel. Then you just pick up the linty paper towel and throw it away. Easy peasy! I no longer have to worry about cleaning a dryer vent pipe, and I am a happy camper!

It helps heat my 2600 Sq ft. home. Yes - it does increase the humidity, but in the dry winter the humidity helps keep the home warm. The only down side of this little contraption is the bottom door which holds water is pushed out frequently with the pressure of the dryer and the lint trap is knocked down with the dryer air pressure as well.
Get some Velcro straps when purchasing this little machine to keep it all together.

**UPDATE** We just got our gas bill for January (which is always the highest for this part of the country) and our bill went down over 30% from last year! I'm just beyond thrilled about this product and strongly recommend it for anyone who has gas heat!

We try to be environmentally friendly as possible and it always bothered me that in the winter time we were blowing out all this hot air from the dryer just to the outside that could be coming inside to help heat and humidify our home. I read the reviews on this link trap filter and decided to give it a try. First let me say I was thrilled at how fast it arrived. It had just started to get cold and I thought it would take a good week to get to my house; it took a day. Literally a day and I was thrilled. And then I was surprised at how big it is. For some reason it looked a lot smaller in the pictures, but it's the perfect size - see pictures for comparison to the dryer for size. And it works fantastically! Blows warm, humid air into the house but traps all the lint. I do recommend pulling off the front screen and giving it a little vacuuming with a hand held vacuum attachment to get the little pieces of lint that stick to the screen, but this thing works great and I'm just thrilled to no longer be wasting all that heat and humidity that we need so badly inside the house in the winter!

Already had installed one of those round indoor vent holders, using old nylon stockings to catch the lint, but still got a lot of dust in the laundry room. Outside vent clogged from many years of poor venting system built into my condo, and didn't want to tear the walls apart for another, so I thought I would try indoor venting, since we could use the extra heat in the winter. I saw this one by accident, and read the other reviews, and thought I would give it a try. Well, it does work very well, indeed. I did not want to attach it to the wall, so it sits next to the dryer on the floor. Just some information about the unit: It keeps the lint down not only with the fine gauge screen, but you also have to keep an inch of water in the little drawer that is in the front, at the bottom. The lint trap can be taken completely off the front for cleaning, you just push down on a little tab on the top edge, and it pops out. Since I have keep mine on the floor, and the unit is lightweight, you do need to add some weight inside the drawer to balance the weight of the vent hose that goes on the top..it will not tip over, but it will be a bit "tippy". I had a small marble lamp base that I wasn't using, so I popped that in the drawer, and it keeps it stable. You will have to empty the water/lint from the drawer from time to time so I wouldn't recommend using anything loose in the drawer for weighting, as that would get old real fast.
