Unit stopped working. In fairness, I bought this item 3 years ago but the reality is that I only used it twice and kept it properly stored in the meantime. Great while it worked but don't expect it to last. If you have an immediate need, this will work fine; if you're like me and like to invest in your tools, I would look for something with a longer shelf-life

Worked Well for my Issue

Was having an issue with a toilet not flushing well (intermittent backup, slow drain, flushing ok type thing). Ran a snake but did not find anything. Checked pipe flow (via noise) and water was flowing freely. So looked into snake cameras and after some research chose this Teslong snake Camera. Assembly and use directions were pretty straight forward. Once assembled and working (and the toilet was "flushed" (ie: clear water)) I fed the camera down into the neck of the toilet bowl. Camera had a clear picture while in the water and once it emerged into the air pocket inside the neck. Picture was blurry across the water/air pocket boundary (as expected). Twisting the camera around to visually see thing (in the curved neck of the toilet) was a little challenging. But as I emerged into the air bubble in the neck I discovered the plastic spoon the had accidentally been flushed. The spoon would not fit around the bend in the neck so there it sat. Problem solved. Cleaned the snake portion of the unit with water and dishwashing soap. I would recommend this snake camera to others.

What happened to the first review I wrote? Seems to have disappeared. I had written that this unit was fine, it worked right out of the box, the image is good enough for my purpose which is looking inside the wall. The cable is very long, as advertised. I had written that it is not waterproof so you could not use it for plumbing. I was contacted by the seller who clarified that the unit is waterproof, you just need to wipe it dry afterward. The manual says to protect the unit from water so I took that to mean it was not waterproof, silly me, but I am glad to hear that it can go into the pipes if needed. Customer service seems good, I was contacted promptly after my first review to see if I was having a problem with the unit. Frankly I was thrilled to find this tool available and affordable for just a regular person. If they offer one a little bit more expensive with a clearer image, I would be willing to get that one too.

I purchased the Teslong endoscope with the 3 meter long camera cable in April 2018, my first borescope and I'm using it for Automotive Mechanics. Compared to other borescopes I've seen, the size of the camera head on the Teslong is much smaller and able to access holes and locations where others normally can't. I've used it to inspect the combustion chambers on my lexus es300 and it actually saved me a fortune in repairs costs. I had to remove the intake plenum on the same car and a piece of rubber gasket fell into the intake valve and was keeping the valve from closing fully so I couldn't pressurize the chamber with air to change the valve seals. Using this camera I was able to see exactly what had happened and work a solution which didn't involve removing the head from the block. I've also used it to inspect the inside of the gas tank and examine the inside of the crankcase. The only slight drawback to having such a small camera and lens is that perhaps it doesn't capture such a large area of viewing on the screen but it's worth the trade off and the led lights work well also. Can't believe I didnt buy one of these sooner!

This endoscope performs exactly as advertised. After 8 months of use around the house I am still very happy with the purchase. The picture quality is great, it focuses well. I especially like the adjustable brightness on the LEDs. It is extremely useful when moving from one material to another inside a wall. I have used it to inspect drain pipes, water heater build up, wiring in the wall (with the breakers turned off).

I like that it came with an 8gb SD card which is more than plenty of space for the resolution captured.

I bought the 3 meter version which at times is a little unwieldy but I have had the need for all 3 meters 2 or 3 times.

I would definitely purchase again.

Professional inspector. I've tried a few cheap scopes over the years. So far very happy with the quality of this device. The semi rigid scope tube provides enough rigidity to control the camera while at the same time flexible enough to wiggle when needed. The longer tube allows me to strap the monitor down to something like the ladder top and then control the camera without fear of dropping. Decent enough carrying case. Have not been taking or storing pictures with it but instead taking a pic of the monitor with inspection camera for easier photo log maintenance.

I am an HVAC tech and I use this for heat exchanger inspections. I have tried at least 5 of the other cameras sold here and this one is by far the best. The quality is great and focuses up close. The camera itself is very small so will fit in any situation. The cord is sturdy enough to go all the way to the back of the furnace. Trust me if your looking for a camera for the same purpose I use it for then you have to go with this one.
