I loved this book! The story and characters were developed really well. I absolutely loved how strong and independent Harper is, even in her "weaker" moments, she found a way to keep pushing forward. Easton is definitely a handful. He's cocky and a bit arrogant, but I loved it! I really enjoyed how these two interacted with each other!
The storyline flowed really well and I was able to connect with the characters. There was plenty of humor and quite a few twists that I didn't see coming. I did not want to put this one down and I'd definitely recommend it to other readers.
♦️WHAT DID NOT WORK FOR ME:
➖Tons of OW drama: H has a long and complicated history with crazy, cheating ex-gf, who still works for him. She jealously confronts h, trying to start trouble, then she claims to be preggers with H's baby (he slipped up and slept with her again 2 months ago, before getting with h). Then comes doc appointment, waiting for paternity test...Causes lotsa tension and strife between H&h, H acts like an jerkface. I just don't wanna read about that OW crap for the ENTIRE book.
➖OM drama: At the beginning, h finds out the guy she's dating is married. She keeps running into him and his wife. Drama causes an argument with H & h at the end.
➖h hires strippers for bachelorette party (for h from book #1) and H doesn't like it....even though he OWNS 2 strip clubs....double standard or what!?! Plus, I'm just not a fan of people in committed relationships watching strippers.
Harper Jamison is Jett's sister and one of Quinn's best friend (and if you have not read book 1 - Quinn is in a relationship w/Jett) Harper is .. Let's say.."has NO filter at all.. Says exactly how she is feeling and she is kind of a loose canyon at times. I adored her in bk 1 but LOVED her in this story.. She is feisty, opinionated, strong, and successful businesswoman.. Yet she also has a past that keeps a 'mask' up so she doesn't get hurt and doesn't allow men to get too close... (She has secrets and demons that she won't allow to control her life, yet they are when it comes to love.)
Easton, finds Harper very intriguing and very sexy - he wants to get to know her a lot better..
So these two very 'private and secretive couple' come together and holly cow, does it make for one heck of drama for their tight nit group along with eachother... Not to mention, some major hot and steamy sex!!
I am looking forward to reading about the other two men in the group - Kade and Jude... I believe with each book you will find, as I have, I have loved each one just as much as the others....
Easton has some drama with an ex girlfriend who refuses to go away.
The end has us seeing Jett and Quinn's wedding.
I loved Quinn and Jett’s story and I worried that anything coming after would never measure up. I am thrilled to say this was just as snarky, funny, sexy and emotional as the first book in the series! The characters in this series are a tight-knit mix of friends and family with problems, joys and challenges that everyone faces. Sometimes, if there too many characters involved, the plot sometimes gets convoluted but not so here. While there are many voices you never lose the main plot which centers around Harper Jameson and Easton Black.
Harper is opinionated, strong and proudly has no filter. She is a successful businesswoman, has clear thoughts on right and wrong, and takes crap from no one. Easton has admired Harper from afar until one night Harper calls him and her brother out for meddling in her life. Ever since that entertaining explosion, he can’t look at her simply as a friend anymore. There is chemistry between them and suddenly they both find themselves free to explore where that might take them. The fireworks are hot and so is the loving as the duo fight themselves, and their pasts, to forge a future, together.
Harper has a no bulls**t attitude that I can’t help but cheer on, you go girl! When her current becomes her ex she shows her true colors in a blend of fire and compassion that really says a lot about what she is really about. Yes, she has a crusty exterior but her inner mush isn’t hard to find. Easton is a complicated mix of sexy hotness, alpha male and gentle soul that is the perfect foil for Harper. There are bumps, and some of those punched me in the gut, but watching them navigate them together was a rollicking ride I enjoyed from start to finish.
No cliffhanger but the teaser about Kade and Avery’s story has me already stalking the shelves for the next in the series. It can’t get here soon enough!

I loved how the heroine was written, she doesn't let anyone mistreat her. The H has moments where he's a jerk but he's also a very well written and likeable character.Published 1 month ago by Crystal
