OVER A MILLION BOOKS SOLD!
William Chanokh is immortal…and he’s trapped on the Galahad, an interstellar starship on a never-ending journey through open space.
His only companions are Capria—mortal and in cryo-sleep—and Gal, an artificial intelligence, and the love of his life, with whom he spends every waking moment in the ‘Great Escape,’ a virtual paradise. After untold years living countless lives, Gal begins acting strange. Possessive. Violent. Paranoid.
Positive that something in the real world is causing her to malfunction, Will attempts to leave the Great Escape, but he finds himself a prisoner. Guided by a voice from reality, he is thrust into a series of torturous narratives, each one designed to break his will and keep him trapped in virtual reality.
Betrayed by his digital love, his long-term memory overwritten, and enduring violent manipulation, Will painfully peels back layers of simulation, fighting to reach reality 1.0—where the nightmares are real.
Maybe.
New York Times and #1 Audible bestselling author, Jeremy Robinson, takes readers on a heart-wrenching journey to the edge of the universe and beyond, where distinguishing reality from simulation might be impossible.

What else would you expect from Jeremy Robinson?
Superb read!
I read 30-50 books a year, mostly sci-fi. I don’t say this casually when I write that the first “Infinite” is my favorite book I’ve ever read. It strikes such an amazing chord with me.
So I really don’t feel it fair to say that this book is 5 stars with that information as a qualifier. However Jeremy states in the author’s note that he wasn’t going for a repeat of the first novel and that is completely understandable. I may have enjoyed the book a little more if I knew that going into it.
I hate even writing this but it just can’t compare to the first novel. BUT, I say that more as a compliment to the fist novel and not an insult to the second. I mean how can you possibly top the first?
Overall, it’s well crafted and cerebral. I enjoy Jeremy Robinson’s imagination and application of real world physics. He’s a gifted writer truly. I could go on about his other books too.
Without giving away anything of the book I will say this. Don’t expect quite the same emotional intensity that the first novel offered, don’t try to guess what the big reveal may or may not be and just enjoy the ride. It’s got plenty of twists without seeming contrived or forced.
If you loved the first book you’ll like this book. I’m just going to appreciate each book differently for different reasons. If you’ve read any of the author’s other novels then you may be in for a real treat.
Jeremy if you read this review know this. I will continue to ponder the story in this book for some time. That is possibly my highest praise. Ive caught myself thinking about the first novel randomly in the years since I’ve read it. This end of this book, like your others, leave me feeling the way a truly good story should: sad that there are no more pages to read.
Once again we find our narrator - William Chanokh - aboard the Galahad ship, deeply immersed in the VCC (a sort of VR coding interface). At the end of the first book, you'll recall Will elected to stay in the VCC in blissful ignorance of the tragic fates of his crew and their disastrous mission. But something isn't right. Gal - his AI companion - is acting strange, which turns out to be one symptom of a far greater problem with the ship. Can Will wake up in time to fix it? What if Gal doesn't want him to?
Without spoiling too much, Will finds himself living dozens of VR-generated realities in his quest to regain control of his body and the ship. There are pop-culture and historical references galore, more action than you could shake a stick at, and enough gore to put the first book to shame. And that's sort of the problem. I was far more interested in everything going on OUTSIDE the VCC and outside the ship, and I'd hoped Robinson would delve fully into that, but instead I feel he falls back too often into the realm of the not-real. That's a shame, because his descriptions of galactic phenomena and their implications are always fascinating to read. A lot more fascinating, in my opinion, than someone trying to outrun King Kong.
This book has much, much more humor than the first one did. In some ways, it's a nice break from the high-stakes adventures throughout the book. But it also feels out of place at times. If you enjoy a nice dark joke, you'll probably love certain parts of Infinite 2.
I can't say I didn't enjoy the ride. All of Robinson's books have been real page-turners to me, and this was no exception. He has a knack for writing efficiently while still maintaining a real sense of grace and flow to the story. The quality of the writing is just as high here as it was with I1. I'd recommend this to any fans of the first book. I promise you'll be fully engrossed reading this chapter of Will's story and here's hoping for Infinite 3!
Top reviews from other countries
Be aware before you start reading, at least the first 7 chapters will mess your head up.
Persevere however, and you will be rewarded.
It's funny, scary, nerve shredding and fast paced, as well as heart rending and emotional on occasion.
One of the things at which Mr Robinson excels, is creating seamless personalities for his characters, even if those characters aren't necessarily human.
If you are a well read fan of this author, you will have plenty to get your teeth into, with many of his trademark cameo appearances, as well as his usual aptitude for making a laugh out of the characters most dire situations.
This a great book in my opinion. As always, my disclaimer is this...if you haven't read the first, do so, you will understand this book much better.
Cannot wait to see where Jeremy takes us on his next adventure.
