Appearance? Reliability? Absolutely worth every penny.
BTW, I was extremely impressed by the packaging - there was no way it would ever have been damaged no matter how many people threw it into trucks or onto conveyor belts, and inside all the heavy cardboard packages it even has a heavy plastic faceplate fastened over the face of the clock to make certain there is no damage to the hands or face.
Yes - as you can probably tell - I'm very happy with this clock.
Update: A/O Oct. 2015, the clock has stopped working (after two years). As another reviewer with the same problem wrote, the little motor is still ticking away but the hands don't move. Maybe the shaft has worn out the inside of the hole in the hands? I have no idea, but am disappointed. Now have to decide whether to buy a new one or not ... I really like this darn clock!
