Some good info but it doesn't deliver the goods in the title

There's some good, basic information in this book, regarding social media and job searching in the digital age. But the "infographic" resumes examples are really weak. They are overly decorative in a cutesy, meaningless way and most aren't effective at communicating relevant info about the job seeker. The information on them isn't organized in a useful way and the most important elements are obscured, rather than standing out. I love the idea of being creative with your resume, especially if you're looking for a design or graphics job. But these are terrible examples. Over all, I was pleasantly surprised by the information in the first part of the book, but really disappointed with the resume part (which is the title subject, after all).

If you're over 40 and it's been more than 10 years since you've changed jobs you may be surprised how much the art of job searching has changed. This book was a wake up call that it's going to take more than a nice resume to job hunt these days.

At first I was overwhelmed by all of the social outlets and tools recommended but the author does a great job of breaking it down into steps and providing good examples.

The only caveat I could add is not about the book itself, but about job searching in general.
