A young couple gets more than they bargained for when they buy a historic New England bed and breakfast only to find a mysterious evil lurking within the walls. From the writers of John Carpenter's "The Ward", this supernatural chiller features Elise Couture ("Heredity") and Michael Reed ("The Disco Exorcist").

"'The Inhabitants' harnesses the atmosphere and power of its historic New England setting and creates a modern day ghost story with an old school feel.” Horrorella, Ain’t It Cool News

A couple buys the March Carriage House bed and breakfast in New England. The house has a history of a midwife hung as a witch for killing children. Soon Lydia (India Pearl) becomes possessed by the home and inhabitants but never becomes as scary as the DVD cover.

Film was rather boring. Nothing new. Made for TV quality.

Guide: No f-bombs. Brief sex. Avoids nudity. Bra/panties/ back shots.

There are usually tell-tale signs, even prior to viewing, that indicate a bad movie. For example, when the dreadful opening scene, in a B&B includes the dialogue, "Honey, aren't we on the top floor?" and the husband replies, "Yeah, I think so, why?" What? You don't know you're on the top floor? Of a TWO-floor house? Wouldn't that be kind of obvious when you checked in?

So, right off the bat the acting and script is awful. Before the opening credits. But then the credits roll and we can see why. When the producer, writer and director are the same people and everywhere in the credits you see "The Rasmussen Brothers" it's another good indication that you've got a stinker on your hands. When the main jobs are held by the same person, who's going to tell them that the script is dreadful?

I tried to give it some time. But there was one fact that just couldn't be overcome. The two main actors (supposedly husband and wife whose "lifelong dream" it was to own a B&B), not only act like they've never stepped foot in one. But also act like they've never met each other before. Talk about NO chemistry between actors. Even the most mundane dialogue was painful to watch and forced. This could have been a blind date. Or, in this case, just another negative mark for the movie, poor casting. The female characters facial expressions (someone previously mentioned Resting B**tch Face and that's accurate) would lend themselves to Mean Girl 3, instead of a horror movie.

And one peeve that might just be mine but...what year is this movie taking place? They have cell phones. But her first visit to town involves a trip to the Public Library to stock up on books.

The opening sequence was dreadful on all levels from acting to setting to lighting. And then it shifted to new characters and things seemed promising. Unfortunately it became dreadfully boring dreadfully quickly. When you have a movie that centers around two individuals and one of them barely speaks, you have to hope for visuals to save the day. Nope. I swear the lead female got the job because she has what is often referred to in polite circles as "resting b**ch face." Sorry....that wasn't enough to carry the show.

This was a very strange, but good movie. The plot is well thought out and played, but the acting seemed low budget. This movie kept my full attention all the way through to the end, although the ending leaves you a little confused and disappointed. I do believe it was left like that for a chance at a sequel, which I would be quite interested in watching. I ordered this movie and chose to give my honest and unbiased review.

It was not a bad movie at all. There were some spots in the film that could have been smoothed out to better explain why things were set up in the manner they were. However, it was well acted and a spooky film. So if your a horror fan who wants an enjoyable movie to kill some time you should consider this movie.

This could have been a realy good movie but it falls way short. The story line could have been developed so much better. but instead you find yourself reaching and hoping for something good to happen. I will say watched it to the end hoping for more. But the director and writers failed bad. This could have been a great flick but instead a big bore.

A young couple buy an old inn in New England. Unbeknownst to them, the house has a spooky past. Together with their dog, they move in. Then that spooky past begins to make itself manifest.

Their are some genuinely creepy moments in this film. Unfortunately, it is simply not enough. The. Viewer knows it is going to be problematic from the initial opening scene which is bad on a number of fronts, beginning with the bad acting and ending with the silly dialogue. The movie would have been better off had the opening scene been cut, as it contributed virtually nothing.

Then a new cast of characters takes over, and the movie seems to get appreciably better, as the acting and the script improves. Still, the movie lags in spots, and the few creepy moments are not enough to make it soar, as these moments are too few and far between and the characters are not sufficiently develop to carry it along. Consequently, the story flatlines.

Notwithstanding some of the issues with this movie, those who like the horror movie genre may get a modicum of enjoyment from this low budget film.

Super creepy movie. The plot was interesting and the acting pretty good. There are some indie horror films which are much more entertaining than major studio productions. This is one of them. Recommended for a dark and stormy night....muahahahahaha.
