Edit: The company saw my review and sent me a replacement. This is my third device. I'll consider adding a third star if it lasts. I'll see how this one fares.
My microphone seller didn't mention the need of a power supply at all, and when they were asked this, they changed the subject, which makes me mad. I use this as a YouTuber and game streamer, I need the utmost voice quality. I would have to boost my microphone, which made it static or sound like I was talking through a phone.
Now, my microphone makes it sound like I'm right next to the listener's ear, even with my 40$ condenser mic. If anyone wants to know it's an AUKEY condenser mic.

Very easy to set up, all you need is the female to male 3.5mm XLR cable that LIKELY comes with your mic. Also very easy cable management.
If you don't have the cable I just mentioned, here is the one I use with this power supply, as my mic just came with an XLR to XLR cable. It comes in a variety of lengths and is very cheap.

Therefore, I would not recommend this if you're on a Youtube budget. I'm more advanced than others and I should have made the purchase of the H4N instead of the Innogear aka neewer. If you want to control gain, and bass and mid tones, look for an interface device that can give good results. This device only powers A XLR mic. Just think about the end result at the end of the day. As a filmmaker as well audio makes up 50% of your audience and I don't want to use a device in the middle of a podcast and it just kicks the bucket.

only few things extra I need to do i.e. buying external soundcard as my laptop has combo audio port due to which external microphone is not connected. I am using this with Neewer NW-700 Professional Studio Condenser mic and setup is awesome.
They also provide step down voltage regulator to convert 220 V to 110 V as I am going to use it in India.
WHY IS IT SO BRIGHT!!
It works really well, I love how when I turn it off my mic will still work.
