So I highly recommend giving Innocent Ride a go you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!!!
Drexel "Rex" Crews is a fast talking, sex-on-a-stick, hardcore biker. Or he was until a couple of things happened to make him realize that maybe that wasn't the man he wanted to be. One of those things was Caroline "Lux" Milton.
Lux wants almost nothing to do with the Catawba Hellions VP, she's not looking for the kind of lifestyle she thinks bikers live. She has had a hard life and made some bad decisions but she is determined to the lifestyle she has dreamed of. Until things happen to bring the MC and Rex fully into her life. Rex will do anything to protect Caroline, whether she likes it or not.
This story is full of twists and turns, it keeps you riding right along the edge. Another great book in the Hellions Ride series!!!
I've been so torn on my feelings for Mr. Rex this whole series.... one of the guys you love to hate and hate to love. BUT, I've always seen some shining qualities in him that were screaming to come out.
Caroline has some hidden stuff from her past. At first I didn't really like her, even messaged Chelsea upset, because I've never NOT liked one of her leading ladies.... Caroline is very closed off. CC wrote her perfectly. As the book goes on, we get to see more of her, and get to understand more of her. By the end, I related to her.
Rex.... oh Sexy Rex. He has this closed off personality. I wanted to throttle him in the past...this book, I wanted to jump him, hug him and sometimes punch him. I loved seeing the different sides of him.
Enjoy the ride that is given, but hold on for the twists in the road.
Drexel "Rex" Crews is the VP of the Catawba chapter and cousin to Tripp. He's the ultimate playboy that won't settle down. I have really enjoyed Rex's character since the beginning of this series. I think in each book we have gotten to understand him better. I think under all of his playboy ways he's just looking for the right one. Now he's dealing with finding out he has a son by Tessie that he never knew about and having to watch Caroline. I think in this book we definitely get to see Rex grow as a person.
Either you're going to like Caroline or you're not going to. We first got to see her in Tripp and Doll's book, when she showed up for the Hellions BBQ way too dressed up. Caroline now finds herself in an unsafe situation and goes to Doll for help. I did at times find Caroline to be a bit stuck up and acting like she's better than everyone else. I loved the fact that Roundman calls her out on it. Caroline is also full of secrets she doesn't want anyone to know. She also finds out some things she never knew.
I thought that this book was fun and enjoyable. I loved the banter between Caroline and Rex. I loved seeing Rex grow in this book. There were also some twists that were probably a bit predictable, but at the same time I didn't see them coming.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I voluntarily read a copy of this book I received for my honest opinion***
