Memory Foam Inversion Table with Lumbar Pad for Hot and Cold Compress
The Innova ITX9700 is a heavy duty inversion table that comes with many new features that set it apart from other inversion tables. Starting with it's adjustable Lumbar Pad that allows users to place their own Hot or Cold Compress for a more relaxed inversion.
This model also features a large memory foam backrest pad and soft touch foam handlebars, it provides a comfortable, easy inversion. But these features are just the basics. The ITX9700’s True Balance System allows each user to find their own unique center of gravity. The Six Angle Pin System allows users to trust that the ITX9700 will easily, safely, and consistently deliver on the finest inversion experience.
True Balance System - Triple Adjustment Structure
Unlike other inversion tables, which only have one or two adjustable parts, the ITX9700’s True Balance System features three adjustable features, to help each individual user shape the smoothest and most comfortable inversion experience for them. The True Balance Structure can adjust the headrest pad, the height, and the foot to micromanage the center of gravity.
6-Angle Pin System With Protective Cover
The ITX9700 features a protective cover for the six angle pin system and is that is easy to adjust. Just position the pin in the desired angle and know that your inversion position will be safe, comfortable and consistent every time. Old tether strap systems require the user to dismount entirely climb underneath the table in order to adjust and can loosen after repeated use.

What stood out with this was not only that it was cheaper than the rest, but it had several of the features the higher priced had. First of, this is really well constructed, but yet it is not overly heavy(50lbs or so). This makes it easy to fold up(just pull the pin and fold up) and maneuver to be put away, without stressing your back.
One of the things I was looking for was the ankle restraint system than surrounds and secures your ankles vs. a big cushion that clamps down onto your ankles since it makes for better comfort and this model had it. Not many of the lower priced ones had this type of ankle restraint system. The system to lock the restraints itself is ok(it is a pull spring loaded peg) but I would have preferred the system that the Ironman uses, as you don't have to bend down as far and is a ratchet type system. However, these are comfortable and I have no issues once I am clamped in.
This also comes with a nice lumbar pad, which you can insert a heat/ice pak into if you like(it doesn't come with one, but I bought this Hot & Cold Reusable Gel Pack, 5" x 10" which works great). It also has a removable head pillow, which is nice.
This also uses a peg system to stop the table at various inversion points. While you don't get the complete freedom of a strap, I find the peg to be a lot easier to manage, with a couple users in the house, than having to constantly readjust a strap. All you do is unscrew the peg and move it to another hole and twist it back in. No unexpected slippage of a strap either.
The height adjustment is easy. Just pull the peg and slide the height to what you want. It also has an safety pin that you insert as a secondary fastener for the pull peg.
I have had some back issue for the last several months and several people told me about inversion tables, so rather than continue to go to therapy, I decded to try one. My wife has had a couple bulging discs for over 10 years now, so she was excited to try it too. I have used this several times so far and while it does take some getting used to(having the blood rush to your head, is not the best feeling in the world), I can already feel the difference. It isn't an insta-cure, but it is already doing wonders for me. I suspect as I use it more, things will continue to get better.
Uses ankle restraints that surround your ankles vs. pushing down on them
Uses peg system to restrict inversion angle vs. the old strap system.
Easy to use height adjustment
Removable lumbar pad and allows the use of heat/ice pak
Removable head pillow
Lower price but still excellent quality
Ankle holder system while secure, could be better and a little easier to manage. I'd prefer the one on the Ironman.
Wish it would fold up a little thinner like the Teeter hang ups.
All in all this is a fantastic inversion table and well worth the price. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Pros: Very sturdy and very fluid movement, comfortable backing, pretty easy to put together, folds away for easy storage
Neutrals: Having gotten the balance right yet, not sure if I'm just in between settings but it's hard to push back initially and to pull yourself up. This may not be fair to them as I've still playing with the heights.
Cons: Not a fan of the foot grips, they do the job but they don't seem to be same quality as the rest of the unit.
After experiencing a back issue that included a herniated disc and a pinched nerve, I have tried several modalities to address it, most recently this inversion table I'm typically active, so not being able to carry on my life as usual was quite frustrating!
First, let me say that after a few days, my back and sciatica suddenly felt much better. While that may be attributable to several things, I'm fairly certain that this inversion table played a big part in that improvement. 5 stars for that!
The instructions that came with the unit weren't great. In most cases, people will be buying an inversion table for back pain, and putting together an inversion table that doesn't have clear instructions just adds to your pain and frustration. The table is packaged well, and all the parts were there. For those that are mechanically inclined, it's probably not so bad, but for those that aren't, it's much, much more frustrating than it needs to be. In particular, the left/right parts aren't labelled; major fail on Innova's part. They do provide a video, but because you're sometimes guessing which part is which, you have to replay it a gazillion times to look closely at which part goes where. In addition, some of the steps really do require two people. I can deal with the latter, but mediocre directions and guessing which part goes on which side is inexcusable. 2 stars on assembly.
Getting in and out of the unit is okay but not great. It's a little clumsy, and the handles could be better situated in order to stabilize yourself more easily. I'm average height and a small build, so not a lot of me to get onto the unit. Once you're in place, the unit is great. It moves back and forth smoothly, and you can pull yourself up easily. The back pad is quite comfortable. 4 stars on usability.
Be sure to start at the 15 degree angle and work up to a higher angle over a few days. I use it several times a day but will likely taper off as my back feels better. At 45 degrees, I could really start to feel a pull, and that's when my back and sciatica had remarkable improvement. Of course, wait a couple of hours after eating. I like to lean back for 2 minutes, then flat for 1 minute, then repeat 2-3 times. Pull up slowly at the first sign of feeling lightheaded or nauseous. Lastly, don't pull up from fully inverted to upright too fast.
Overall, I'm glad that I purchased this unit but really wish that Innova had taken the time to provide clearer step-by-step assembly instructions.
