I liked this marbling kit. I learned how to use it from someone who already knew how to do suminagashi, so I did not really need the directions. To make sure the ink would stay at the surface of the water, we used the smallest drop of Foto-Flo (Kodak brand) per 5 or 6 drops of ink. It worked well enough that I didn't actually use the floating paper dots.
I've just attached one example of marbling so you can see how the colors look. They are not strongly vivid like colors often are in Turkish marbling. I used rice paper, so perhaps the colors would show up more brightly on a more opaque surface? Either way, I am satisfied with the results and found the marbling kit quite easy to use.
