I use it for inspecting hotel rooms and the high-power setting of this Inova lights things up from much farther than the Streamlight UV (as much as I wanted to like the Streamlight). They both are using the same 365/390mm UV light mix now but the Inova just seems much more powerful. While it uses the somewhat expensive camera-type lithium batteries, the battery life is excellent and you tend to only use it for a few minutes at a time.
The on/off is done via twist or push-button and can be turned-out to prevent from turning on in a bag. The fit and finish is excellent. A single turn on turns it on at full power, a quick on/off/on turns it on at low power. I've only used high power, not sure when you would use less than full power.
I was quite surprised at how much better this new model is and would not hesitate to recommend it.
I'm a big user and fan of flashlights and look forward to reviewing any others out there too.

I use this for HVAC work. Super durable and relatively bright. Same one most TSA folks have at the airport for ID checks. Uses 123 batteries.Published 8 months ago by JohnC

It was not bright enough for engine oil leak detection. The my mechanic friend as it turned out had a UV light that clipped to the car battery that did the trick.Published 13 months ago by James

Works great for such a small light, not a lot of visible light so at first it doesn't seem like it works that good. But don't let that decieve you. Read morePublished 16 months ago by Amanda Papke
This is a serious UV light. It doesn't put out as much light in the visible spectrum as the cheaper 7-9 LED versions, but it has better UV output: when charging a glow-in-the-dark... Read morePublished 17 months ago by BayonetFrog
