DeltaDust with DeltaGard is the world's first and only 100% waterproof insecticide dust, so it works in the wet and damp places that insects love. Nothing short of running water will disturb it, making DeltaDust an ideal crack and crevice treatment. It's effective against a broad spectrum of insects at a wide range of labeled use sites, indoors and out, especially against fleas and ticks in rodent burrows, as well as around pet kennels and in zoos. Since its effect is not diminished by moisture, DeltaDust provides a residual of up to 8 months with a DeltaGard active ingredient concentration of just 0.05%; probably the lowest of any insecticide dust anywhere.

I had yellowjackets build a nest up under the siding of my house.
It was right next to the outside faucet! Ouch!
I squirted a little canned hornet spray in the area, there was no effect. In fact, they loved it.
I thought it either: Call exterminator (no), remove siding (definitely no) or see what Amazon has.
I ended up buying this stuff. It arrived quickly & I waited until dark.
I put on a dust mask & rubber gloves, put maybe a few tablespoons of Delta dust in the 'puffer'.
Problem: I had to squirt straight up behind the siding.
I jammed a 'bendy straw' onto the 'puffer'.
I puffed those evil yellowjackets to their death.
In the morning & throughout the day, I looked for any bees.
There was one lone bee buzzing around for a few minutes, it flew in & never flew out.
It was probably a teenager bee that stayed up too late sucking nector, sneaking back to the hive.
This stuff worked. I only used a little bit of the Delta dust. Now, maybe I'll try it on that anthill with a trail of ants going into my barn...
To kill and control carpenter bees, you simply use the duster to apply a light dusting of Delta Dust in the entrance of the carpenter bee tunnels. Then, as the bees come and go, they pick up the dust on their bodies and later ingest it when they groom themselves. Within a couple of days you will see no more activity at the carpenter bee holes/tunnels. Then you just fill in the holes with silicone or wood putty.
When using the duster, holding it in different positions will allow more or less dust to come out. I find that the least amount is actually the best for whatever insect you might be targeting, since a thick layer of dust will be avoided by insects who will walk around it rather than through it, and they have to walk through it and contact it for it to work. To let out the least amount of dust hold the duster "upside down" (black rubber cap facing down). Holding it to the side will let out a little more, and holding it upright (black rubber cap up) lets out the most dust.
TIPS FOR USING DUSTER:
*Fill only halfway with dust to allow space for the air that must be mixed with the dust in order for the duster to work properly. Overfilling the duster will cause clumps of dust on treated surfaces rather that the light dusting required.
*Shake before squeezing the duster the get dust airborne inside container. Adding a few small ball bearings or pebbles to your duster will help breakup dust as you shake and it from clumping together in the container.
*When applying, gently squeeze the duster. Emerging dust should be barely visible. After squeezing the duster, remove it from cracks, crevices, etc. before releasing your grip to prevent debris or moisture from being sucked back into the duster causing clogs. If the nozzle does become clogged, you can unscrew the rod from the back of the nozzle and insert it into the nozzle to break it up.
*Store the duster inside your home or an air conditioned outbuilding (out of reach of children pets) to prevent rubber gaskets and bellows from dry rotting.
