This story of a young rising starlet and her loss of innocence is well told apnea well acted. The story unfolds well and the action does not bog down. This is good entertainment.
The bit of nostalgia that comes from the age of the film enhances the enjoyment.

Natalie Wood as intense and as ever. She can carry any role and when the camera in on her, the screen lightship. Great performances from Robert Redford and Christopher Plummer. Screenplay is a tad weak but story carries though.

Ruth Gordon & Natalie Wood's acting & a neat little story make this a memorable standout in the annals of my favorite movies. Ruth Gordon strikes a true note as 'The Dealer' & while Natalie's song & dance is kind of forgettable, her touch as the caring daughter is sweet & offbeat.

Homage to "Old Hollywood". Yes, it's way over the top, but it's a guilty pleasure. Amazing cast: Natalie Wood, Christopher Plummer, Robert Redford, Roddy McDowell and Ruth Gordon as "The Dealer". Never see this on TV anymore, so worth grabbing a DVD while you can.
Bonus: opening scenes appear to have been shot on the Santa Monica Pier.

All Natalie Wood film buffs should see this movie...the tomboy Natalie in full swing. Gorgeous as ever...elusive and mysterious...all out rebel...in this case, "with" a cause.

Robert Redford was a very good friend of Natalie's in real life. The two make a great combo in this picture.

It's always amazed me that this movie doesn't get more respect--sure it's campy but the performances are fantastic: Christopher Plummer's speech to Daisy by the pool after she's been abandoned by her new husband (a super young Robert Redford playing gay for God's sake--what more could a person ask?) is stunning and Natalie Wood's breakdown in the sound booth is incredible. Roddy McDowell's snarky secretary! Redford getting off lines like "Good night, sweet, sad, lonely lady" and Malora (great name) screaming at Daisy "I'VE GOT A HEARTACHE!!!" The gorgeous black and white video of Daisy singing and bouncing her way through the galaxies. All incredible stuff--why isn't this on DVD yet? Same goes for another Hollywood classic: Joan Didion's "Play It As It Lays" with Tuesday Weld and Tony Perkins. Wake up, Hollywood, and give us these treasures on DVD!

Love the movie and saw it when it came out. Natalie Wood is just so good - those eyes are the highlight of the movie. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because this copy didn't include several scenes that I remember that the studio later cut out - I was hoping for the uncut version that i saw in the theatres.

I always enjoy Natalie movies even the somewhat "flawed" ones. Perhaps autobiographical. or the "real" story of many young starlets of hollywood land. Its fun just watching Nat at the beginning doing her best to be a 15 year old waif.

Great movie starring Natalie Wood. Up and coming child star gets untangled in the corruption of Hollywood. Daisy Clover soon starts to break under the pressure.
