Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Helping someone who has seemingly lost the natural ability to sleep is one of the most satisfying things I do in my profession. Over the short course of 6 weeks, time and time again, I see how cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBTI) transforms lives by improving and resolving difficulty sleeping. Patients with decades of insomnia, starting on five different sleeping pills, discover normal sleep without medications in a few short months. Often they wistfully remark, "I wish I had known about this years ago."

Starting on this path takes a leap of faith. Many people with chronic insomnia feel they have heard, read, and done it all. Nevertheless, their difficulty initiating and maintaining sleep persists. If you had found the right answer, you wouldn't be here. The strong foundation of this program, developed over years based on sound science and professional experience, has helped hundreds of my patients. Trust that it can work for you.

Let the journey to better sleep and health begin.

From the Back Cover

Chronic insomnia can devolve into a state of profound desperation. Changes you make may begin to work against you. Fortunately, insomnia is a problem that can be solved. This self-directed program is designed to give you the tools that you need to return your sleep--and life--to normalcy.
