Exactly as I remembered!

The discs were all in perfect shape. The cartoons were all in original broadcast quality, so no remaster on the sound or video which was preferred. There are the usual blemishes in these features as I remember on broadcast TV as a kid so the nostalgia was perfect. I missed many episodes as a kid so having the full series, all seasons, including the bonus movie was a fantastic opportunity to catch up. Seeing the content again 30 years later in 2022 as an adult has me noting how this might not be aired today. Many of my favorite cartoons as a kid in the 80's were like this, such was our American culture back then, that in modern day 2022 would be considered inappropriate. But that's what nostalgia feels like. What's nice is that I can enjoy the stories, the animation and the nostalgia with a new awareness and appreciation. It's not bad or good, just what it is and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The case is artistically nice and the set just feels nice to have on my bookshelf. Childhood restored with new understandings. Great stuff.

INSPECTOR GADGET the complete series enough said but here's a review anyway i'm not sure if its in its original aspect ratio or this mega set has the Christmas episode special I know there selling it separately I don't think it has any special features of anything I can recall. there's all 86 episodes this cartoon series is my favorite of all time and made me become a hardcore Don Adams fan, I purchased Get Smart the complete series dvd box set on Amazon.com because of Inspector Gadget and I also have check it out! on dvd another Don Adams show I don't know if anyone remembers that show or unless your big Don Adams fan like me. plus I also bought Inspecteur gadget from Amazon.fr the French version because of the anime style art work on every cover of the box sets which also one many reasons why I love Inspector Gadget that Japanese anime look I know and love. I also love all of Gadgets catchphrases like WOWSERS and would you believe Maxwell Smart saying, my other favorite is the adorable cute Penny Gadget Inspector Gadgets niece who solves Gadgets cases in every episode with her computer book and computer watch with brain the dog taking most of the punishment from Gadgets adventures and chief Quimby giving Gadget explosive messages that explodes in the chiefs face lol, and the ruthless evil Dr.Claw that wants to destroy Gadget anyway he can with his MAD agents and other evil creatures and robots to eliminate Gadget and last but least there's corporal Capeman Inspector Gadgets sidekick in season 2 only also the funniest character in the series other than Gadget himself. With Inspector Gadgets gadget copter is extended legs and arms to reach any high place gadget balloon up coat his laser water fingers gadget key etc at his arsenal to get himself out of dangerous MAD plots throughout his adventures with penny brain chief Quimby and capeman to help him defeat Dr.claw all the way to the last episode Gadget and RED Rose. P.S. GO GO GADGET DVD MEGA SET AND LOVING IT! ;)

Inspector Gadget is a cross between that consumate Spy Maxwell Smart Control Agent 86 and that Great Criminologist Inspector Clouseau. Gadget is a somewhat robotic if not even cybornetic being who is a spy of sorts. He is at times smart, wise and very lucky. He misses obvious clues only to pick up on subtle clues. Gadget for all his faughts is one of the good guys who always manages to foil the best laid plans of enemies. Gadget has a host of followers who help guide him toward successful outcomes. While Gadget gets into similiar types of troube in most episodes you never get tired of watching. Gadget himself has such a strong personality and screen pressence that he never gets old. Gadget is the personification of boundless energies directed in the cause of good. Gadget is never vulgar and never crude he is always fun and happy go lucky. Even in adversity Gadget see's something funny something uplifting that helps him carry the day. Gadget is an animated comedy created mainly for children but The Inspector Gadget Stories are never Childish! Inspector gadget never insults the intelligence of his audiences young or old and for that reason I love my Inspector Gadget Mega Set and I am over 50 years old.

As for the video and audio quality I find both good making the product extremely watchable. I rate this product 5 stars because; they were earned not given!

What can I say. Its the old school Inspector Gadget cartoon! Complete set including the Xmas Special and the Dr. Claw movie. It is just a copy of the original, not remastered or anything, so expect some flaws. Otherwise its just as I remember. To spend hours watching these old school cartoons! :) I'm glad they are coming out on DVD! DVDs are stored nice and neatly on individual spindle centers. All of my discs were in good condition and played correctly with no issues. Well worth it especially for the price. Pick it up if your feeling nostalgic.
