Personally, I don't see how anyone can argue against this outstanding classic. Not only is it thorough, but I could barely get through the footnotes on Philo and others. Good grief it was exhausting.
For all practical purposes its a treatment of 2 things: 2 Timothy 3 and all the "it is written" statements of the NT.
It will be interesting to see how Rome denies the obvious.
There's a lot of references to greek, of which I only know a little, but the overall treatment was easy enough. I wish it could be re-written in Modern english - that would be absolutely incredible!
On a lesser note, a few pages were were faded, so I can't tell if this book is a print from photo-copies. All in all, it was no big deal.
This book is an absolute gem, and if you agree with its biblical position, you'll be richly encouraged for having read it. If you disagree, you will spend years and years and years trying to take it apart!
