Initial thoughts on the 14-in-1 Omni Pro. Nice design, easy to read display, and easy to clean. This will literally replace several other small appliances in my kitchen and that is just fine by me.

Packaging was great but not excessive. It arrived safely with all pieces and parts securely in place. It comes with a nice, fry basket, tray and rack, as well as the rotisserie pieces. Also, the emptied box doubled as a fun playspace for my cats.

The included cookbook was pretty much a waste, with overly elaborate recipes that no one buying an air fryer wants - lamb skewers, chicken with pruned mushrooms, and other such nonsense. Toss it. Instant Pot, take note: people who buy these things want recipes for decent pizza, chicken wings, fried pickles, breakfast bakes, biscuits, NOT braised veal with mango aioli.

If you have concerns about "burning plastic" smells, that is not an issue with this model. I did the 20-minute test run and any smells emitted were not intense and were the equivalent to a new microwave that I purchased. After the test run, there were no noticeable odors, other than the smells of delicious food cooking. It should also be noted that it runs quietly, with just the sound of a fan blowing. Other models may have rattling, this one does not.

This air fryer toaster oven turned an inexpensive self-rising frozen pizza into a work of art! I did use a slightly lower cook temperature than was suggested on the pizza box and watched it to make sure I didn't burn it, since I've never used this before. I loved being able to see what is cooking and having the ability to turn the oven light on is great.

The temperature probe is great for meats. Keep in mind, that generally if you're aiming for an internal temp of 165, you want to set it for 155 or 160 because the meat will continue to cook after being removed from the oven. If you take it out when it has an actual internal temperature of 165, it will be overdone by the time it rests.

If you're new to this (like me) test this with some cheaper foods - frozen pizza, biscuits in a tube, chicken drumsticks or thighs. That way you won't feel bad if you overcook it or something goes wrong.

The rotisserie was one of the big selling points on this, for me, but keep in mind that the limit on it is a 4 pound bird. I've seen people griping about this limitation, but this isn't a dedicated rotisserie, it's just a nice added feature. I'm considering trying a chicken leg quarter tied with butcher's twine, in lieu of an adequately-sized chicken, I will update this review whenever I decide to try that, but there are grocery stores that sell smaller chickens. It's also noteworthy that people at farmer's markets and Amish markets tend to sell chickens that aren't all 'roided up, so check those out if you have any of those near where you live.

Unlike the manufacturer's claim - preheating does not take "seconds". It takes a few hundred seconds (roughly 5 minutes). Not terrible, but it is an unnecessary and exaggerated claim. It may not be up to full cooking temp when the preheat cycle is over, but it's close enough.

I probably will invest in something other than a microwave cart to place it on because obviously it does get quite warm to the touch and I don't want my animals jumping on it. Hopefully the door handle will be redesigned at some point because after 20 minutes of cooking on 400 degrees it was a bit overly warm.

I'm very impressed with this machine and plan on making every meal with it for the next 30 days to see how it holds up. This is great for a single person. This is great for a family (unless you have a huge family). It's versatile, compact, doesn't heat up the whole house and fun to experiment with. Don't be swayed by negative reviews - this is a fantastic way to cook!!

So this was on sale and is roughly the size of our old toaster oven, but this one has the air fry heat coil as well as the quartz heaters, our old air fry oven did not have the heat coil and it really didn’t air fry at all, it was mostly just a convection oven. We have a nuwave small air fryer that actually air fries but the portion size is not big enough for my family. We thought we would give this Instant Omni Pro air fry oven a try since we had such good luck with our instant pot. Unfortunately, you can’t set the time or the temperature for any of the settings. I did a lot of research on this unit and found the only negative comments were chickens falling off the rotisserie when the drip pan is installed and it was that some people were having a problem with the touch control, which is exactly what I was having problem with as well. The thing with the rotisserie chicken is that you can’t use the drip pan, if you look at the videos on this product roasting a chicken on their website the drip pan is not in the unit. I did see another video on YouTube that shows people putting foil over the bottom elements as they don’t turn on during rotisserie cooking to keep splatter off of them (good idea). We were planning mostly to use the rotisserie for pork roasts (yum) as rotisserie chickens at Costco are really cheap and taste really good, if they could just lower the salt content a little it would be perfect. Anyway, I was unable to adjust the temperature or time no matter which mode or setting I was in we tried all kinds of things like texting the manufacturer, which was a royal pain just to find out that holding down cancel resets the oven but I don’t think it’s really resetting maybe it just resets the stored presets, but it doesn’t help with the touchscreen problem at all. Amazon does not allow for replacements on this item, but you can return it which is what we’re doing and I just bought another one to give it another go (hopefully with better luck this time). Thank goodness it was still on sale. I have a good feeling that this unit is on sale because of all the problems they are having with chickens and most of the people online say they have to get another unit from the factory to correct the touch screen problem. Let’s hope the next unit doesn’t have the same problem or it’s going back as well and will try a different brand like shark ninja. I know that instant and Shark Ninja both have UL listed appliances which is very important to me and my family for safety, especially with something like this. The only downside to this oven is that I wish it would heat to 500° for better searing steaks instead of limiting it to 450°, but most hot air fryers only go to 400° anyway and we can still use the kitchen oven for searing. If the second unit works like it, should I will update this review.

It has so many functions and uses it's crazy. We rarely have a home cooked meal snack or dessert anymore that doesn't include something cooked in this thing. My previous review remains valid as well.

So I'll start off by saying that the ovens touch screen malfunctioned right away. Just a few days after getting it new. It was behaving as if someone was repeatedly touching it and changing it's own settings. Changing itself from F° to C°, the rotate function would repeatedly cycle on and off, and it would constantly switch between "preheating" and "cooking". At first the malfunction was intermittent, and wasn't causing a serious issue with cooking the food. I ignored it hoping it would possibly go away on its own; but a few weeks later it had gotten progressively worse to the point that it wouldn't stay in "cooking" mode long enough to complete a meal.

I contacted customer support and after providing my proof of purchase, and a short video of the machine malfunctioning, they voluntarily sent a replacement. I haven't received it yet, but will be updating this review once I have a chance to try it out.

Now..... Onto the rest of the product review. I think this is a great little oven. It has a bit of a learning curve as far as what temperature to set it at for what foods; but other than a few scorched egdes and a couple of pizzas that had to go back in, it's been pretty amazing. Like any other oven, many factors have to be considered when setting their temperatures, and every oven varies. This one seems consistent. Something baked at 350 will always bake at 350. Something that burns at 275 will always burn at 275. Over all I am very pleased with this oven. If the new one has a better quality touch screen, I will be 100% happy.

The Instant Omni Pro 14-in-1 Toaster Oven Air Fryer worked great for all sorts of cooking. Air frying of various foods, such as fries, chicken breasts and wings, etc. turned out fully cooked and slight crispy on the edges. Reheating foods, such as pizza, steak, chicken on the bone, etc was also perfect. Toasting and reheating breads was also excellent. The movement of air was impressive as foods cooked quite evenly. I never cooked large items, such as whole chickens or large amounts of foods at once, but it seems like this oven would have done well.

However, after about 18 months, some of the lights on the display began to go out and not come back on. Not the entire display, just parts of the digits on the display. A few weeks later, the preset cooking methods began to go haywire. Starting a preset mode would result in the oven constantly beeping and the countdown timer starting over as if the preset had been cancelled and restarted. This behavior comes and goes over long periods of time.

After almost 2 years, the oven still cooks and reheats foods, but not as intended. The display still has some lights that do not work and some presets still cannot be selected. It seems the touchscreen technology on this oven prematurely malfunctioned or just wore out. Cooking sessions have to be monitored in case the oven goes haywire again as this tends to happen without warning.

I do love Instant brand products for the style, functionality and price from past products I have used and owned, but I am going with a different brand to replace this toaster oven.

I purchased this on Black Friday after researching many different types. I chose this one because of 1) the name Instant Pot, 2) it has a airfryer, a dehydrator, and a proofing function for my bread (haven't used that one yet, and 3) the price was right. I had an older KitchenAid toaster oven which I did like, but wanted some of the newer functions. Since counter space was an issue, this all-in-one seemed to fit the bill. I'm still learning how to bake, roast and broil. OMG! the time is about 1/2 of what it used to be. I'm having to adjust the temp and time from the default (which is easy to do) and am still experimenting with this. DO NOT use any kind of abrasive sponge or cleaner on the top black portion as it will leave scratches (ask me how I know!) I like that when the oven is off, it displays it as OFF on the front panel. My husband doesn't hear very well and couldn't tell if the old KitchenAid was still on or off. He also had difficulty trying to turn the oven on, not the toaster, etc. Here, it is very easy to know what to do, select the desired function, change either the time or temp and then press START.

Needed to replace toaster oven, liked the proof feature. Unfortunately, the proof feature was a bust. It underperformed (small yeast rise) three times and I went back to my old manual way of rising my dough under a heating pad. Still don't know why it didn't work, at the factory temperature 90F and also at my go optimum 77F proofing temperature. To make matters worse, even when I reduced the baking time to just half my usual, it burned the bread. I am done with wasting whole batched of bread.

That said, it makes superb toast, the chosen degree of brown and crunchy all the way through. It is also excellent at roasting, either with the rotisserie attachment or with the included temperature probe. Being able to roast chicken or pork to exactly 165 degrees quickly, with convection, produces perfectly cooked meat, juicy and much less dry. I was never a fan of air frying and suprised myself with several batches of the best french fries I have ever made. I've worked my way through a countertop deep fryer and a cast-iron pan over 180 BTU gas, but, with small home fryers, putting in the fries brings the temperature of the grease reservoir below optimum frying temperature, and it never gets properly back to my preferred 420 degrees. The air-fryer, by removing the grease bath, avoids this problem, and fries are perfect in about 22 minutes.

So, overall, despite the proofing and baking disappointments, the other functions I tried greatly exceeded expectations. The user interface is a generation beyond anything else I tried, and the big touch screen provides excellent control.

One caveat, however. We've had this thing about a month and the bottom cooking element and the base tray are caked with baked-in grease that I can't get off without immersing in scalding water and detergent and using stainless steel wool. So it stays stained and dirty, and I expect that this unit will be discarded in a couple of years from being filthy and stained.

That said, I've been having fun with this despite lack of success with baking in it. Maybe I can figure out how to convert gas oven temperatures and bake times to Omni Pro. I'll research it but I am not willing to sacrifice more baked goods to this thing.

I upgraded from the instant pot vortex pro to the omni for easier cleaning, more capacity, and more features (specifically the probe cook option).

Now, this will be the last instant pot branded product I will ever purchase. They do not stand behind their products and just try to push you to repurchase.

We originally purchased the omni in November of 2022 and immediately had to return and replace due to manufacturing issues. The whole unit was misaligned such that the drip tray sat very crooked and leaked a ton of steam out of one corner and the door was also crooked.

The replacement we got had some dim buttons, but it worked okay.. for just over a year. After 16 months, that unit started having issues with the screen. During a cook cycle, it constantly tries to reset the cook time and prolongs the cooking / constantly beeps. It's unusable at this point and is also a safety concern on if it'll just decide to turn on by itself.

I did reach out to customer service about the issue and they said I should throw it away and buy a new one. No suggestions for troubleshooting or individual part replacement. They also stopped responding after the first message.

Do not expect this product to last much longer than a year and definitely don't leave it plugged in while not in use.

I did like the probe cooking option with the omni, but it maxed out at 200F. A little higher threshold would have been nice.

On to the next brand I guess!

Over the past 10 to 12 years, I have always recommended the Breville Toaster oven's, as they have always performed very well. This January my last medium-sized Breville was basically done after 5 years of heavy-duty use, so decided to look around for an upgrade.

After some AMZ Review 20 qt size oven searches, pulled the trigger on this Instant Pot Omni Pro 19 QT, and have never looked back.
Pro's - has 14 Function's so many, many pro's, but, what also drew me to this unit is how Sleek and Modern it is and how it uses modern technology across it's cooking schemes.
By comparison with the Breville's vs Instant Pot Omni Pro is like comparing a basic, over-sized toaster oven, vs, the quicker, time-saving, Energy saving's Future technology.

Instant omni pro 14 en 1. Llevaba mucho tiempo queriendo éste horno, lo primero que intenté hacer fué un pastel pero a media cocción intenté deslizarlo hacia afuera para hacer la prueba del palillo y la repisa de rejilla (rack) se salió de los rieles apenas lo toqué, por suerte el pastel ya estaba casi cocido y no se salió todo dentro del horno, pero fue horrible y casi imposible volverlo a meter al riel sin quemarme. Ya en frío intenté poner el rack en los diferentes niveles,hacia arriba y hacia abajo y aun sin peso no se alcanza a sostener y con muy poca fuerza o simplemente deslizando se sale de los rieles, principalmente el primero y segundo, no se si el rack está defectuso o si el horno está defectuoso descuadrado o algo, pero básicamente lo deja inservible. El vendedor fué Amazon Estados Unidos y por ser importación Amazon México solo me da la opción de devolverlo, pero obviamente para volverlo a comprar ya estaría a precio regular, también me dijeron que si me quedaba el producto defectuoso me daban un cupón por $100 increible.. Intenté comunicarme al único sitio oficial de Instant en México (instantstore.mx) y basicamente me dijeron que ellos sólo son distribuidores no fabricantes y que sólo pueden resolver garantías de los productos comprados en su sitio. Es una lástima pues en Estados Unidos la marca tiene fama de tener excelente servicio al cliente. Han pasado 14 meses desde que lo compré y ahora el panel tactil ya no funciona, no me deja cambiar temperatura ni tiempo y de manera random sin tocarlo y sin estar en uso hace bips aparentemente como si estuviera cambiando entre f° y c°, también cuando está andando solito se para y reanuda como si yo le pusiera pausa y start.

Compré este horno en abril 2022 y lo amaba hasta que algunas opciones del panel dejaron de funcionar y al mandarlo revisar me dijeron que no hay forma de repararlo porque no existen piezas para reparaciones, lo cual me parece pésimo porque es una inversión considerable.
