Now although that may be the case...
This cable worked for me with no issues for about a month, but after connecting and disconnect the N64 a few times to bring to friend's houses, the cables started to come apart from the section right before the A/V color cable starts, and also on the connector that goes into the console itself. This has caused for the audio to drop out of the Left speaker completely.
The cables were never mishandled and always wrapped up carefully, my guess is that this cable uses cheap plastics which snap/come apart after a few bends.
All in all I wouldn't order this brand of cable again, I have the original N64 A/V cables and they seem sturdier and better built that this.
