Something I liked a lot about Late Blooming Lily that's true here, too: the language used for intimate scenes is just right for me, personally. Very hot, and explicit, but never juvenile or off-putting.
Instincts Awaken is a gorgeous introduction to an intriguing fantasy setting and I look forward to more naughty fairy adventures in sexy, sexy, fairy-infested Chicago.
The writing was not juvenile nor was it difficult to read. The characters were few but important and the fantasy world was done well.
I gave it a five star, not because I have decided that I would now read many more fantasies but because it was done in a way that I could rather believe the faeries.
Being Irish, I had heard of the Fae, but don't know enough to know if it was all folklore or folklore and Ms Kildare's imagination or all her.
Read this book as the quality is good and the spankings were sometimes severe, they were not uncomfortable to read.
Would read another.
