Editorial Reviews

Review

"Instructional Strategies for Middle and Secondary Social Studies offers a novel approach to preparing effective social studies teachers for the 21st century.  What makes the text different from others is that Larson and Keiper contextualize their descriptions in clear and concise language and with classroom examples that mirror today’s culturally diverse classroom."

--Jesus Garcia, Professor of Social Studies Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Past President of NCSS

The formatting of this book makes it almost completely unusable. The text is aligned so closely to the interior that words are cut off. The top of the text has been cut off so that there are no page numbers at all in the book. To pay money for a textbook that is of such poor quality, is really disappointing. I have already contacted the publishers to notify them, but they claimed it was Amazon's fault, not theirs.

I like the book itself. It is great. The quality is excellent. However, it takes several days for the book to arrive.

If this book would have been manufactured properly, I could probably read it easier. Words are all the way in the middle binding of the book, and a ton of space on the bottom and side of the pages.
