This book is a stellar collection of almost all that is new in the field, and perhaps all of the new scientific studies on integrative treatments for depression. They have set a new standard for progressive analysis of a common and critical mental health issue that has otherwise been very poorly treated at best by conventional modalities in psychiatry. These authors are to be commended for this fascinating collection of well-written chapters that should be mandatory reading in every medical school curriculum and especially for psychiatry residents. I highly recommend this important text book.

Every health professional should be familiar with the contents of this book, we'd all be much healthier for it. My sister got sick and in a race to try and figure out how to help her, I researched night and day. I recently lost my sister, but my journey taught me that my sister's body was screaming for help years ahead of the poorly treated and mostly ignored health problems passing a tipping point and developing into a fatal illness. I genuinely believe that I'd still have a sister if every doctor was familiar the topics of this book.

This book is not written for the general public, but for someone with a higher background in the sciences so I think comprehension would be difficult without say 1st year university.
