I installed this SSD as primary HD in a new Dell XPS 8500 and used the factory HD as secondary. Everything works very fast. I highly recommend this SSD. Intel provided every thing you need to install this SSD. The only problem was using the Intel migration software. The migration software might have worked but there seemed to be a hang up with moving the OS from the larger HD to the smaller SSD. The Dell came pre-installed with Windows 8 and no Windows back-up DVD. I decided to purchase Windows 8 Pro (on sale) and did a clean install. This worked without any problems. I also replaced the factory video card with a Nvidia GTX 650 ti. Both this SSD and the video card was purchased from Amazon. I am very satisfied with both purchases. The Intel 335 Series SSD (along with the video card) has made my computer an excellent performer.

I got this SSD about three weeks ago and its been up and stable for 2 weeks now. I love it! Intel's are a little expensive but you are paying for the proven track record of stability and reliability. Would recommend to anyone looking for an SSD.

As always SSD's require different user care than traditional platter drives. Always remember to do the research and invest the little amount of time in setup to get the most out of your investment!

Very fast drive, product came with 3.5" bay frame, screws, speed demon sticker, safe packaging and software, my system boots up in less than 7 seconds using Win8 and clamshell to remove the windows touch screen GUI, running an i7 lga-1155 3770 cpu with 16gb memory on an Intel DH77DF motherboard. The installation was a snap and now it makes me never want to purchase another regular hard drive for bootup again. Since it was recently purchased I can't say how long it will last but i'll repost an update when it goes faulty.

I rated as 4 not 5 because the provided disk cloaning software did not work. The drive itself rates a 5.

My Intel 335 SSD arrived on time and packaged well. I was unable to clone the existing disk using the latest version of the Intel software (from the web site). I think the issue was the software does a disk clone and my disk is 2TB even though only 150 gig used . I could not fine a way to clone a single partition.

I also tried several free cloning software products without success and read extensively learning about Secure Boot and UEFI booting. I actually got one software to clone the drive but then could not figure out how to make it bootable. then I read extensively about Secure Boot and UEFI. The following is some good education:
[...]

Then I read this article
[...]
and learned about Paragon's "Migrate OS to SSD 3.0" ($19.95 with discounts available). I read the article and noted several people who had good success. I Google searched the product and also found other favorable reports. I was convinced.

Towards the bottom of the above article I found the ordering link
[...]
and discount coupon code COUPONPASTE20 worked. (This software is also available from Amazon as well but I am not sure if the discount will work). Net cost $16

Paragon worked great first time! It also told me to be sure to change the boot disk order - a crucial step.

My Dell XPS 8500 hardware supports two hard drives (with power cabling available) so I was able to connect the new SSD and clone the disk all within my PC case. The drive came with the necessary SATA cable.

Bought on September 27, 2013, writing review on April 15, 2014.

No issues to date. Intel software works well, and the performance upgrade from my 10k RPM HDD was substantial. I use a 1TB drive for non-essential program installs and storage, and put my OS, Chrome and my most used programs on the SSD. Boot times are under 30 seconds from button press to idle desktop (Windows 7 x64).

No problems so far. Bought it to replace a stock 60GB SSD that came with my computer. Just make sure to optimize the drive and make sure you format it properly before you start using it heavily. I have to say though, SSD's for OS partitions... Simply awesome. Literally from a cold start, I can be on the internet in about 15 seconds.

I'll be brief. I spent 6 to 8 hours a day on my computer. It's the core of my business.

My technician suggested I get this solid-state drive, because my machine was running slow, it was crashing frequently, and during a normal day it was running at about 90 processes, when it should have been running about only 50 to 60 processes. My tech said get a solid-state hard drive and it'll solve your problems.

It did. And it did.

Intel has been in the business from the git-go. They know what they're doing. If you can put this in yourself, you can save some money. I wasn't that confident, so I had my technician do it. Even at $350 for the whole shebang (install, transfer data, upgrade all programs, and leave me without a computer for only 1 day), this is by far and away an incredible timesaver and a cost saver, bar none. My programs are at LEAST twice as fast, if not 3 times as fast.

In short, if you've got a good machine to begin with, this solid-state drive will knock your socks off and rock you like there's no tomorrow. I am thoroughly impressed.
