I purchased this SSD to upgrade my 2017 Macbook Air. Of course Apple uses a propritary connector so I also purchased a 'JSER 12+16pin 2014 2015 Macbook to M.2 NGFF M-Key SSD Convert Card'. They both fit and work like a champ.

I chose this drive after reading about the Samsung EVO models reducing battery life and causing more heat. The Intel SSD7 only uses up to 1W when active and 25mW when idle while the Samsung EVO uses over 5.4W.

Got a bad one or....

pretty box, item was new and sealed. it appeared genuine but did not work nearly as well as my older generation 256GB 660. the 760p was designed to replace the 660 and all the benchmarks online showed significant improvements in speed. The item i received benchmarked 20% slower and hung the PC at the post screen intermittently. After some use the problem became worse, any big transfers on the drive caused the video card to freeze, arifact and crash the system. i initially thought something was wrong wih my computer. i put the old 660 back in and no problems. I ended up getting an nvme from best buy, the Samsung EVO plus they sell benchmarks exceeded my goals and all is well again. I guess it was my first bad Intel product, which says alot because i bought my first bit on intel hardware in 1997.

I used this with a mid-2014 15" MacBook pro using this adapter

There were no issues at all formatting the drive, restoring Time Machine, or using sleep/wake. No special configuration was needed, it was pretty plug-and-play.

I'm only getting about 1GB/s because the mid-2014 has PCIe 2.0x4. It's still twice as fast as the stock storage.
I've heard that you get advertised speeds on PCI3.0x4 interfaces, like the mid-2015.

Honestly I didn't know what an m.2 SSD was when it came in a bundle I got for my pc. But holy hell is this thing pretty sweet. It's pretty small and doesn't use the normal hard drive trays or power, connecting directly in the motherboard itself instead. I put my os on it and from boot to the home page takes about 10 seconds which is faster than most traditional SSD. It gets a bit hot but most atx motherboards will have a heat sink for them now.

When i built my new computer i thought of getting a larger SSD but since i was already pushing budget I decided to get one of the smaller sticks. Inserts very nicely into my mobo so i still have room to expand with more hard drives in my main storage slots. With the storage being so small i decided to just put my OS and a couple of smaller games i frequently play on it and that was a wonderful decision. My computer boots up very fast and those games play very smoothly. I highly recommend this stick if your motherboard has an SSD slot in it, keeps it out of the way and allows more room for expansion in the Storage for your PC and no cable management required

２個買ったSSDのうち、１つが故障しました。インテルのカスタマーサポートに問い合わせたところ、OSを再インストールしろ、別なハードで試せなど散々いろいろとあれこれああしろ、こうしろと指示された挙句、最終的にヒートシンクを付けていたことから保証しない、と言われました。

インテルのSSDを使う場合にはヒートシンクを付けていると改造扱いになるので、付けない方がいいと思います。

なおインテルのカスタマーサポートは上記のとおり、保証してもらうためにはだいぶハードルが高いようですので、保証を期待する場合には向かないと思います。

やっと出たIntelの高速M.2 NVMe SSD

M.2 NVMe SSDはサムスンしか事実上選択肢が無い状態でしたが
やっとインテルさんが出してくれましたそれも低価格で！
速度はサムスンの例のヤツに負けますが、必要にして十分早いです。
OSインストール直後にCrystalDiskMarkにかけてみたらRead 3100MB/s程度でしたが
色々アプリケーションをインストールし終わって容量の40%ほど使用後はRead 2800MB/s程度
まで落ちましたけど全般的には満足しています。

冷却に関して、マザーボードのM.2スロットは拡張カードタイプに差す場合より
冷却に注意が必要だと思います。それにこの手の物は冷やすに越したことはないので
サードパーティー製のヒートシンクをダブルで取り付けて運用しています。
室温28度でCrystalDiskMarkを実行中の温度は44度が最高でそれ以上は上がりませんでした。

参考までに：「長尾製作所 M.2 SSD用ヒートシンク SS-M2S-HS01」と
「zspowertech ヒートシンク　ラジェーター　アルミニウム製　20mm x 21mm x 15mm　シルバートーン　コンピュータ用　5個セット」
の組み合わせです。

サムスンが嫌いなわけでは・・・いやまあ嫌いだけどさ、（ウチのPCのデータードライブHDDは
サムスン製で8年安定稼働です）でもマザーボードが折角のインテルZ370チップセットなのでインテルで
組みたい！というわけでお勧めのM.2 NVMe SSDです。

Meno veloce di samsung 960pro ma sicuramente con un aggiornamento del firmware da parte di inter si riuscirà ad incrementare le prestazioni di questo gioiellino che,per chi non lo sapesse,possiede una tecnologia RIVOLUZIONARIA rispetto ai "vecchi" NAND.
Ieri ho provato un pò di ottimizzazioni con programmi scaricati direttamente dal sito internet di Intel come intel tool box ssd fresh,crystaldisc e altre ottimizzazioni del SO windows 10 64bit per far rendere al meglio l'ssd.
Tengo a precisare che non ho provato come si comporta con altri filesystem che non siano NTFS con dimensione del cluster standard per windows.
Un consiglio non impostate le dimensioni del cluster troppo grandi,infondo è un 128 gb!!
Questi i risultati del benchmark con cpu Ryzen 7 1700 overclock 3.73 ghz.

Velocidad de lectura muy buena... no tanto la velocidad de escritura aunque lo compensa con una temperatura operativa baja ideal para usar en portatiles y barebones o dispositivos con poca capacidad de refrigeracion.

Funciona a la perfeccion en una placa base con un chipset no de los ultimos (intel Z270) por lo que no debe ser problema en euipos mas modernos.

De su relacion calida/precio no puedo ser objetivo... al haberlo adquirido reacondicionado (por menos de la mitad de su precio de producto nuevo, con muy pocas horas de funcionamiento y sin ningun desperfecto aparente...).

Recomendable para montar en equipos que tengas dificultades de refrigeracion y no se quiera dejar de disfrutar de una muy buena velocidad de lectura.
