Overall, no issues with this CPU. As everyone knows, the stock Intel cooler is loud and ugly, but it does work. You can always get another cooler, and it does not have to be a beefy one because this chip is low power anyway! I plan on using this in another build I have coming up, a 1080p gaming build for a client on a budget.
-It is hyperthreaded!
-It hasn't been on the market long, and no one really sees the performance of this CPU, but it runs really great benchmarks. (sites like canyourunit doesn't pick up this CPU as being a strong CPU, so it has a 23 percentile rating in their system, but I can tell, pairing it up with a GTX 1060 will allow you to play most, of not all, games on 2k resolution Med/High/ Ultra)
-Do not make a rookie mistake as Carlos mentioned, please do some research and see if the BIOS for the motherboard is supported by this CPU. Again, it is still pretty recent, but I would make sure that your motherboard supports: LGA 1151 (of course), Supports 7th Gen Intel Processors (Kaby Lake), and Intel 200/1001 Chipset Compatability. I bought an ASUS B150M-PLUS D3, and no matter what troubleshooting I did, it would not POST. I then returned it for an ASRock B250M Pro4, and it worked like a charm. You don't want your first PC build to be as frustrating as mine haha.
-Over all, VERY great price for a CPU at a budget build! it runs just as good as an i3 Core Processor, but again, it's quiet new on the market, so this CPU hasn't been quite popular - yet.
I chose to use the GIGABYTE GA-B250M-DS3H motherboard and a WD Blue 250GB Internal SSD (M.2).
I used the Rosewill Micro-ATX Mini Tower Computer Case with Dual USB 3.0 and also added a LG WH16NS40 16X Blu-ray BD/BDXL/MD M-DISC Burner Drive. I added PNY Anarchy 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR4 2400MHz (PC4-19200) CL15 RAM and a GEFORCE GTX 750 with 2 GB GDDR5.
Anyways, it's a dual core chip threaded to four cores. This CPU is fast. With an M.2 SSD it screws to the system board. All reads and writes are on a small SSD chip, 250 GB of rompin-stompin 6 Gb/s storage. I used a 1 TB, 7200 RPM, 64 MB Cache mechanical hard drive as my File History/ Backup drive.
So much potential with this chip.

- Literally an i3-6100 but cheaper
- Scored of 389 on cinebench
Warning:
If you are going to use a 100-series motherboard, do some research first and find out if this CPU is compatible and what BIOS version you need to have in order to use it; your motherboard will not even POST otherwise and you WILL need a compatible Skylake CPU in order to update the BIOS. I had a hard time give I got myself a B150 motherboard, rookie mistake. Managed to get a friend to lend me his CPU, updated and problem solved. Try to get 2400mhz RAM if you use this CPU to squeeze out extra performance!
Do whatever you want with this information
This is one of those times in production when two products end up having no significant difference other than badge.
In fact this is even a better buy than the slightly lower clocked Skylake i5 chips if you need error correcting ram, because the i line doesn't even support it. (Do they even make error correcting ram for 1151 mobos? IDK but this chip's sheet says it will work if you ever find some.) 😂

All in all i highly recommend this CPU if all you want to do is game and you like getting the most out of your money like me!
Also forgot to mention with the hyper threading tricking games into thinking you have 4 cores is very beneficial as most games refuse to open on dual core processors but they all open with this because of the hyper threading :)

The stock cooler is more than ample to keep this CPU cool and I don't recommend buying another cooler unless you want less noise or better looks. You will not get any extra performance changing the cooler. I will add a video for temps and cinebench results of this CPU.
Performance wise difficult to say but since this product got 4 tread two core is nice budget one versu a i3 wich is more expensive and don't deliver very much more.
gaming on the budget if you aim at older game 2015 and under should do it as long you aim at low setting pair it whit a rx 470 or 1050ti and your good to go for better i my self buy a rx 480 which make my cpu bottle neck on certain AAA tittle a bit but since i aiming at 45 to 60 frame medium to ultra depending on game no worry here.
nice option since war on cpu side begin amdVSintel may get a new option in two years and resell this one may get better value of it from g4560 since better build-in graphic hd6300
Only downside is that it forces you to install windows 10 if you care about getting security and feature updates from Microsoft. Any older o/s in not “supported”

Thought I'd mention that coupling this CPU with a GTX1060 transformed it into a decent gaming computer capable of medium to high settings in such games as Fortnite, PUBG, ROE, Call of Duty BO4, 60 fps steady! very impressive! This is coming from an 7700k/gtx1080 owner!
