Install was relatively easy, with no headaches, and 3rd antenna lead was ready and waiting to plug into the gray center jack (1501n utilizes just 2 of the 3). Just remove the battery, then slide off bottom panel. Then remove plastic case panel surrounding the VGA port. This will expose the card socket location. Carefully remove the gray wiring header above the card using the blue tape tag to carefully pull it up and out. Then just swap the cards. The hardest part is unplugging the existing connectors (AMC?) without damaging them. Ensure the 3 coax leads are arranged so they "want" to stay connected (ie not stressing the connection). Reverse steps to seal it up. I then installed the executable driver package from Dell.... http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=HH26V . No problems or special steps; it installs like a typical off-the-shelf program would. Once up on my network I was connected at speeds in excess of 400Mbps, locally. Speedy Card - doesn't drop

I purchased this to replace the absolute cheapo WLAN card in my Lenovo U410 laptop. The WLAN works extremely well - does not drop signal and transmits data speedily. The only problem that I had was with the LENOVO BIOS - there is a check that I did not know about and it blocks you from installing WLAN cards that are not "approved." I do not know why Lenovo did this but it was a pain to get this thing working. I had to search around the internet to find a modified BIOS that would let me run the card - you need to search the internet for "whitelist" modified BIOS Lenovo U410 - I think the U310 has the same problem.

Just FYI - my machine is running Windows 10

I bought this to replace a Intel 6235 card. The 6235 had issues with dropping connection. It was a known issue with no solution. This card has been so much better. As soon as I installed it I had no more problems with dropping connection. The speed with the card is good. I get better speed with this than I did with the 6235. I have been so happy with this that I have one to install in the wifes computer too.

Detail: I have a Dell Vostro 1710 laptop which I bought in 2008. I upgraded the OS from Win7 Pro to Win 10 Pro recently. All works well except for the regular frustrating wifi connection drops. I researched the issue and learned from many experts that my former wireless card (Intel 4965AGN) driver support ends at Win 7 and there are no drivers for Win 8 and 10. Hence my issue was very common with no solution. My research brought me to this card (6300 AGN). It is a half-height vs. my former one which was a full-height. So I bought the card along with a half-to-full height adapter from the same seller. Took me total of 5 minutes to open the laptop, switch cards, install and start it up.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: Before you purchase, open your system and ensure that the antenna wires are long enough to reach a half-height card. Seems like some reviewers had an issue with shorter wires; my wires were long enough fortunately.
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Upon wireless card installation, I plugged my laptop to the wired Ethernet so that it could access the Internet and get the driver for this new card.

It was all automatic – driver download done, unplugged the Ethernet cable and rebooted. Start to finish, 10 minutes and I was back on WiFi and it has worked solid for the past 3 weeks and faster speeds as well. Hope some of you find this review helpful.

--People have mentioned issues with finding the correct drivers for this card. I will link to them at the end of my review.--

Good: Works superbly. It's a quality card that is easy to install. It is MUCH better than my Qualcomm/Atheros Killer 1103 network card. I had nothing but issues with that card from the moment I first tried it. I tried multiple sets of drivers, and none worked. The people at Killer acknowledged to me that there is an issue to which they cannot find the root cause of.

Bad: None so far...

Conclusion: If you want a quality card, save a little bit of cash and headaches and get this card. Google the competitors and you'll see that this one is the way to go!
