Amazon.com

Amazon.com Product Description The Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 brings two computing cores running at 2.93 GHz onto a single processor, giving mainstream users that extra horsepower to ensure that their computing experience won't slow down even when running multiple applications simultaneously. The processor uses the LGA775 socket for compatibility with many motherboards and features 3 MB of L2 cache and a 1066 MHz front side bus.

With two computing cores, you'll experience great performance.

Intel's Intelligent Power Capability ensures optimal energy efficiency.

Two Cores on One Chip Deliver Increased Processor Performance
By using two processing cores, the E7500 can deliver higher performance with greater energy efficiency than older single-core processors. The E7500 brings robust performance for both home and business software applications, and users will be able to run more applications simultaneously with less stuttering and slowdown.

Everything including email, downloading, online shopping, and video editing can be done simultaneously and with greater efficiency. No longer is it necessary to choose between work and play--with the E7500 you have it both ways at the same time.

New Technologies Provide Higher Performance and Better Energy Efficiency
By using hafnium, a naturally occurring element, Intel engineers were able to shrink the size of new Intel processors and pack more computing technology into less space. The processor also features Intel's Intelligent Power Capability, which allows it to turn off parts of itself when it isn't in use. The result is improved performance with less energy wastage and a reduction of heat and noise, making the processor easier on your wallet and easier on the environment.

Intel has packed the Core 2 Duo E7500 with cutting-edge technologies for better performance. Wide Dynamic Execution allows the processor to do more tasks simultaneously by enabling the delivery of more instructions per clock cycle, while Advanced Smart Cache technology improves performance by physically placing data closer to the processing cores. And Smart Memory Access, which increases available data bandwidth, means you'll experience less slowdown while multi-tasking, so you can get more done.

Multimedia Acceleration for Faster Content Creation
If you are editing HD video, manipulating professional grade photos, or working with music, the E7500 will let your computer keep up with your imagination. The processor features Intel's Advanced Digital Media Boost for accelerating performance of a wide range of applications including video, gaming, speech and image, and photo processing among others. Additionally, Intel's HD Boost technology further improves the performance of SSE4-optimized applications, such as video editing and encoding in high definition.

The Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 allows for a quieter, more energy-efficient PC while still maintaining a high level of performance. It it backed by a three-year warranty.

This CPU runs very fast and yet cool with my XFX 750i MB. I haven't OC'd it yet but it has plenty of power running at stock speed. It's a pretty old CPU but still runs faster than some of the new Core 2 Duo out there. If you are on a limited budget but still wants some power in your CPU, this is the one for you. I highly recommend it to others.

Purchased this as an upgrade for an old ECS 945-GCT-M v3.0 mainboard. Old processor was a Pentium IV-HT. Had to flash the bios, but this new dual core runs at the same clock, but performs twice as fast due to dual core and larger cache. Highly recommended affordable upgrade.

I purchased this CPU because I had a good motherboard laying around with a LGA775 socket. This Dual Core Intel CPU features a 3 MB Cache memory and clocks at 2.93 GHz. I installed it into a media center build and this is a fast CPU. It runs cool (for an Intel chip) and it is easy to overclock.

This CPU makes a good server or media center and is available at a good price. I used Windows 7 operating system and a Gigabyte mother board. This CPU is a solid performer!

perfect arrived on time and everything was in order.Installed it and ran my computer and all was well. the only worrisome thing is that the fan runs on full throttle all the time maybe due to the thermal paste but i did a heat test and found no problems on max load.

I just bought this cpu in 2015 and it still runs strong, I already had a heatsync but intel's works just as well. I put this in an old emachines w3629 along with 4gb ddr2 ram and a radeon 6450 and it works well.

This little two core processor has a lot of balls, good cache, fast fsb and runs pretty cool. I use my PC for home entertainment and gaming. Most of my cards are fairly high end (Soundblaster Platinum X-Fi, GTS-450 video, 1024 MB of Ram on my PNY graphics card, this little guy doesn't heat up, although the cooling fan makes some noise.

Today I played MOH for 3 hours and did I see cpu heat, well no. I do have a cooling sensor attached and AVG system guard just to keep it all in check. All goes well, sure it could use more cache and a faster FSB, but this is not a $350 cpu, it is a really torquing cpu at a fair price.

I expected to get the processor along with the heatsink and fan. I assumed this was all there. It did not seem this item was new. It was not packed in an original Intel box. Just a chip wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a box. Not what I expected.

I have been a custom computer builder for over 5 years now, I have been running AMD ever since i could build my own computer. When i was looking at upgrading my computer, i wanted to go for something different. So i checked out Intel to see what they have to offer. I stumbled upon this CPU and for the price, you really cannot complain. I went from a Phenom x3 8450 to this CPU and truthfully, this CPU is actually faster, even though its a dual core. It does run a bit hotter then my old AMD, but it does gain in performance. When I used to have Win7 installed on my old AMD, i was getting about a 6.2 rating, this one is at 6.4. So its not a significant increase, but you have to remember, its a 3 core CPU vs. a 2 core CPU.

The only Con I have for this CPU, is that it run hot, even though its a 45nm chip. With the stock cooler from Intel, i was getting around 60 degree's Celsius. I upgraded the stock one to a Zalman 9500NT and it dropped about 10 degree's. So i would suggest definitely getting a better cooler then the one that it comes with.

Over all, If you guys are looking for a budget computer, this CPU will be a good pick to go for.
