I purchased this drive on sale, with rebate, ended up being around $140 with shipping. I've been looking for a new SSD around the 240GB range for months now in order to upgrade my MacBook Pro mid 2010, but was going to hold off until Black Friday until I saw that deal. I have to say, I am very happy I did not wait until Christmas to purchase this upgrade.

Despite my initial concern of using this with a Mac, as there have been some rumors out there of incompatibility or problems arising from using Intel SSDs in MBP, I found no issues at all to date with this drive. Although the improvement is not quite as noticeable as bumping from 4 GB RAM to 8 GB RAM, there is a vast improvement in speed and performance in my MBP.

The install was easy enough, I loaded my new Intel SSD in an external enclosure, a Sabrent USB 3.0 box, and despite all of the suggestions of using CCC, I decided to do a clean install of Mountain Lion from a USB stick and use Migration Assistant to move all of my data/users over. After this, simply run a Software Update to make sure everything is up to date and do a reboot, making sure to boot to the IntelSSD in your external enclosure just to confirm that you can indeed boot to the drive before installing it in your MBP. Install in the MBP was easy enough following the OWC guides, and after an slow boot while the MBP discovers my new drive, I was off to the races.

I have encountered no problems at all using the Intel 330 series SSD in my MacBook, and the drive runs like a breeze despite not having a new enough model to fully take advantage of the SATA III capabilities, it still functions well enough to not notice, even when working on very demanding development projects or gaming.

I bought the Intel 330 240GB SSD when it was on sale a year ago on Amazon for the ridiculous price of $140. I finally just put this in my Ivy Bridge build and used an after-market SATA 3 cable with the right angle connector for my case. I benched this thing and get 520 MB/s Write and 540 MB/s Read in ATTO. Win 7 64 bit Home Premium boots from power button to login in 10 secs (including POST). WEI is 7.9 on this drive with AHCI enabled. It is a shame that prices have crept up on this part and that the 335 is not at the same price point. I recommend this SSD to anyone looking to supercharge their system, even older systems. But to get the most out of it, you'll need a new install of windows and a mobo that supports SATA3 and AHCI.

This ssd rocks, not only because it's rock solid but it's been stable for many months now (late review) and hasn't skipped a beat! No loss of data or crashes. It may not be the fastest ssd out there but it works well and if your using it with a sata 6 port it's faster then most. It now runs windows 8 which barely has time to finish the first boot screen before it's done loading!

I've been using this HDD since the day I purchased it in my desktop. I use it for gaming, web browsing, virtual machine hosting, and more. My computer is running Windows 8 and has never had a Blue Screen of Death with this drive (or other hardware).

I'm very happy with the purchase and my computer has never been quite this responsive before with older SSDs.

First experience with and SSD drive. Never considered Intel because of the price but when it was on sale for $139 I couldn't resist. Cloning my operating system drive with the Intel software from their site was extremely easy. When I was done I unplugged my internal drive and replaced it with the new SSD and it booted up with no issues. I would definitely recommend this drive.

I don't think I could do better for my original 140 bones than this SSD. I love it, works well and has been doing a great job in my gaming system. No hitches whatsoever, just great performance at a budget price. The 500 series is supposedly faster, but this is fast enough for me! Gets about 7.6 on WEI

SSDs are a great upgrade for almost any computer that has a SATA disk interface. They really make a difference. The Intel migration software works really well. Intel does sacrifice a tiny bit of capacity for improved reliability. Intel is one of the top brands for SSD reliabiltiy.

My Intel 330 SSD is going strong after years of daily use. I've never had a problem with any Intel firmware updates or Intel Toolbox updates. Intel was first to the market with consumer SSDs and if it isn't an Intel SSD it won't go in any of my laptops or desktop builds. To the engineers at Intel, I thank you for such a reliable and fast product.
