Should have bought (4) when the were $122 from Amazon. I am comparing this against both the stock and clocked pentium K g3258, and i5-4760k, across Gigabytes z87x-ud5h, h81, h85, z97 gaming 5, and h97 gaming 3. For the price, the pentium K works for what it is, but it fails at multitasking, the high base clock, GPU, + cache + hyperthreading truely makes this chip greater than 1/2 a quad core, in running multiple programs and tasking. It seems to do as good of a job for the most part as the i5-4670k, with exception, e.g. data intensive tasks, encrypting files video editing, raring files extracting compressing etc., however, I have that processor in another machine for those tasks I don't need it sitting idle running most of the day twiddling it's thumbs, at replacement cost of nearly double. Plus when doing extensive quad-core tasking as mentioned functional use of your PC can be hindered or may cause crashing, potentially losing other work, I would rather have a PC for each purpose, in which each integral component serves it's specific task without over or under working itself or other parts.

Great processor with a great performance to price ratio. This is not used for gaming, just light office and home computing. I built two identical systems with this, one for parents and one for my sister. One of them is working great, the other seems to have overheated and is returning video errors, resulting in blank screen and driver recoveries. I discovered that it was because the computer was placed in area with very little airflow, and must have been damaged by overheating. I installed a better heat sink (originally just used the stock heat sink) and it seems to have improved significantly, though it looks like the processor is now permanently damaged. It isn't returning many driver errors anymore, and isn't overheating anymore. Just a word of caution from someone who should have known better than to trust a stock heat sink and fan. Buy an aftermarket fan and heat sink for peace of mind, especially if you plan to put the computer in an area with restricted airflow around the case.

Installation was easy, I purchased additional thermal paste but didn't need to use it.

CPU temperature right now is 34 degrees celcius, that's about slightly lower than body temperature. So if I could touch it now, it would actually feel cold! Fan speed 1580 RPM. I've been using the computer for a couple of hours now.

When I play games, the temperature never rises above 60 degrees celcius.

I purchased it for Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite, and they run butter smooth - even when I am recording hires videos of the games.

Am happy about the CPU.

Although Dual-Cores are hardly looked at as competent gaming CPUs, this tough i3 delivers the same power (if not slightly more) than my old AMD Phenom II X6 1100T while being far more power efficient! I might end up upgrading to a 4790k someday, but I certainly do not feel rushed in doing so. This CPU gives plenty of speed to feed the appetite of anyone who wants to start off with a more budget friendly build!

Fast for a dual core. I get a WEI score of 7.6 for processor with 8GB of RAM. Stays cool with an idle temp of 30 degree C in the living room at 72 F. The process score is higher the the 7.5 of my I7-2820QM 2.3/3.4 four core 16GB laptop. The 4600 GPU portion runs 1080P video with no audio/video drops. Unless you need to run high end games, no dedicated GPU is necessary.

La CPU è un dual core con 4 thread e gira a frequenza standard di 3,7 GHz. E' un buon prodotto anche se di generazione precedente (socket 1150). Come tutti i processori Intel di questa generazione (Haswell) scalda pochissimo; 54w di massimo assorbimento. Nella versione boxed qui venduta ha il solito dissipatore Intel a basso profilo, un po' rumoroso ma più che sopportabile. Io l'ho sostituito con un silenziosissimo Thermaltake ad heatpipe. Il video integrato HD4600 ha prestazioni più che valide, tranquillamente paragonabile ad una scheda video discreta di fascia medio/bassa, di quelle vendute tra i 50 e i 70 euro. Ottima la riproduzione video e l'utilizzo "casual" in videogiochi non troppo impegnativi. Adattissima all'utilizzo HTPC grazie all'integrazione delle tecnologie Intel Quick Sync Video, Clear Video HD e Wireless Display.
4 Stelle solo perché costa un po' troppo e le nuove CPU 1151 costano meno: Un I3-6100, che ha prestazioni paragonabili a questo, costa una trentina di euro in meno. Quindi, se dovete assemblare un PC da zero, meglio rivolgersi a prodotti di ultima generazione, con schede madri socket 1151 e RAM DDR4. Nel mio caso, avendo già RAM e dissipatore adatti al 1150, ho preferisto restare una generazione indietro e pagare qualcosa di più il processore, risparmiando su scheda madre e memoria. Sono comunque assolutamente soddisfatto dell'acquisto.

I ordered an i3 4360 3.7 ghz processor and received an i3 4330 3.5 ghz processor. Considering I don't upgrade my PC very often, I was very dissapointed to say the least. However the 3.5 ghz chip is a decent chip for a mid range office PC. The graphics chip on the CPU is very impressive when streaming youtube videos. I streamed 5 videos simultaneously, ran several applications in the background and the CPU didn't use anymore than 40%.

An impressive little chip and well worth £100. If I had ordered a 4330 I would rate it 5/5 however as I ordered a 4360, I'm rating it 4/5 purely because of the botch up by Amazon.
