This is a 7th gen processor, if you have and older motherboard like I do and try to upgrade make sure you have the right BIOS update, or you'll end up thinking you wrecked your board and freak out. It wasn't until I went back to basics and remounted my old CPU that I figured this out . After looking for the right software and setting everything up, THEN it started working . Otherwise, great product.
(It also goes without saying to not buy a pre 7th gen motherboard. There's no guarantee it'll have the update)
On a side note, if you're debating between this and an i7 and its just a matter of a slightly higher budget go for that one, especially since you can't overclock this. It may not make a difference immediately, but it will eventually. It's one of those things were you start to feel the regret a year or two down the line...
It can get tricky with obs all you have to do is set the encoder to use less processing power but it'll come at a quality of picture cost or use your graphics card encoder instead to run the stream but that will also come with a frame rate cost.
If you don't stream and only play then don't need to look further but if you want more power for a little extra then go with the i5 6600k
